    As someone who has suffered from FAS (Frozen Ass Syndrome) the adrenaline pants are the ones that have kept my but warm in the coldest temperatures.

    The difference between a good day on the trail and a great day on the trail is gear. It almost makes as big of a difference as what you ride. When it comes to awesome trail gear I mostly stick with just the big names at this point. They really do invest in making their products way better and as time goes on I keep wearing lighter yet better, dryer, stronger gear. Haydays is a great place to do your research if you can get there.

      100% agree. Buy once, cry once. I’ve got multiple pairs of Klim gear, trail and an un insulated monosuit for the trees, motorfist stuff and FXR. They are truly worth the money.

    I find their Renegade Light gear to be comfortable and sized very well, but it's heavy compared to the competition. On long days it gets a little taxing. The Klim Storm and Tomahawk lines are less bulky and half the weight. Also fully windproof which the FXR is not. The FXR stuff used to be less expensive which made it a great alternative, but their prices have creeped up.

    Maybe a little off-topic, but what tek vest would you recommend for trail riding?

    • @snowtrax
      @snowtrax  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      It's a good question. Personally I'd go with something like the Freestyle or the TrailSport with the zippered front so you can take it off easier when you stop for lunch.

    How’s the warranty on fxr zippers?

  • @vincentpichota5496
    @vincentpichota5496 ปีที่แล้ว

    What else is awesome about fxr is that they are "fat guy friendly" as they stock up to 6xl. I have the fuel set and love it
    One of the very few companies that make gear in my size and their warranty is great. I had a problem with my bibs, and they replaced them with no hassle.

    A nice nine minutes advertisement for FXR. Had a pair of gloves and was not impressed. As for coat and pants I wear Cat which I have never been let down. Boots I wear my Keen workboots that are insulated and they're the warmest thing i've ever worn. Helmet, gotta say BRP has got the Oxygen helmet right, The most comfortable and warmest helmet i've ever owned. Glad I spent the money.

      Could not agree more. Nine minutes of a sales push on all of FXR top priced gear. You don't need heated gloves with 99% of sleds having headed grips and thumb warmers. Unless you have circulation issues.

    Why only fxr? Don't really mind a 6 minute commercial but you could call it a sponsored video.

    • @snowtrax
      @snowtrax  ปีที่แล้ว

      If you don't mind it, why comment? This video featured FXR, but have you watched our show? We've done a ton of coverage on CKX as well, but this is the first time I've seen you comment about it...

      @@snowtrax I watch you guys all winter. It just seems to me that you've sometimes become more about pleasing the manufacturer than the customer. As a brp fan I would feel the sting when you would recommend Polaris first. While I understand that you've become more diplomatic it also feels like you've sold out a bit. Trust me, I still enjoy your reviews, and I'll watch all winter, but a review like this that only points out the good stuff without finding any fault? Doesn't sound balanced to me. Don't call it a review. It's an ad. I suppose we all enjoy earning a living. But yes, I could have kept that to myself. I enjoy your show regardless. Keep it up.

    • @snowtrax
      @snowtrax  ปีที่แล้ว

      Our comments about Polaris sleds have always been genuine. If you get a chance to ride one back to back against a Ski-Doo, then you'll understand what we're talking about. If you still think we "sold out", then you're not thinking objectively and are in fact yourself being biased.

      @@snowtrax I absolutely believed you. That's the point. Anyway, your skin is a bit thin for this gig. Wasn't really looking to offend but clearly did. Sorry about that and have a better day!

    One thing I'd like to see is a shootout between the 2023 600cc Cross Country race sleds from AC, Polaris and Skidoo.
