Bring 25 food, not 28, so you don't get a food disadvantage by going magic. Someone always brings up the lost food as a downside against bidding for magic. If you just start with 3 empty inventory spots for the runes, then it's not a downside anymore.
I was actually so happy when I saw this sponsor spot (maybe for the first time in my life) just because I'm so glad you got one! especially given all the youtube monetization headaches you had in the past
Just wanted to say, you guys have definitely improved on the format since the first auction challenge. Not knowing each other's bids makes every bid even more of a nailbiter and cashing in for sharks is genius!
What about making it a secret item, whilst the third person is describing the item, but not saying it's name, and based on the description u choose to bid or not?
A suggestion for future challenges, we don't see a lot of magic being used, mainly because of the item slots it takes up. So I propose that whoever has runes is allowed to use a rune pouch, just to make magic more viable, and it would create a little variety instead of always seeing melee
I can't believe he preferred the hat over elder maul. Ags for spec, maul for "normal" high hits. Also he knew Link would have insanely high magic defense...
Great choice on the sponser! As someone who is looking to get into video editing and stuff this was a good tip, thank again for the great video as always!
Should change the title to “we auction for extremely high tier items...then we hit a bunch of zeros”. Should do an auction video but have 2-3 different types of food as part of the auction.
I said they should do it where each 500k/1m they have left upgrades a food to a karam/shark or a pot for 1m... kinda like they did on the gear but then have a supplies shop so there is a little mystery on what the other is holding...
An interesting twist for the next auction could be that you get one time where you can know how much the other paid for an item after they win it. Lets you get a bit of info into the other's cash stack and would interesting to see when y'all choose to use it.
Another quality video boyos! Rargh I’m glad you decided to do the sponsors my man. I know you might feel iffy about it, but we support ya! Gotta put food on the table! Couldn’t of had a better sponsor either! Keep up the good content!
Yoo Rargh, an idea for the "then we fight" series. Some rounds that you guys play for different items. Every round consist of each of you rolling a chunk of the map. You get to hide there and play hide and seak. First to find the other wins the rounds item.
@@TheMetalkon Conceptually, bidding for your opponents items sounds like a great idea. Practically though, what is to stop you from spending all 50m from the start such that you have no money to buy any other gear for your opponent such that they are left defensless?

How about an auction type video where you bid on given monster assignments then use their drops as equipment? Like one assignment could be 5 rune dragons, one could be 5 vorkath kills, etc?

I'm sure you have thought of this, but scenario idea: bid for items and supplies, then a timed gathering before a fight. I can imagine both of you fighting over a needle/thread (because we've seen how difficult that is to get from mobs) then being unable to afford a D scim at the end. Maybe reduce the gold stack to 20k so whatever you don't bid with you can use to buy from the local shops. This would hopefully play out similar to the "start with a rune pick and axe and 500 coins" but one of you might not have an axe.
I like how every week you guys add more and more on to keep it interesting. My ideas for the next are have others who dont know runescape (preferably someone who goes off by looks) to bet your items or have a 3rd person silently bid with you guys to add more chaos to your selection. Do a challenge where you bid on chunks! A chunk is randomly generated and every adjacent chunk to it is allowed to be used - then bid on those 10-20 chunks!
No doubt, but thats the kind of excitement that keeps me coming back! Hope you and link don't wear those heart monitor watches during the fights....can't imagine what they would show!!
Random gear assortment, cash stack on a worthless hat, melee weapons despite sotd spec, not using ags spec in the beginning so he could have had 3 total specs in the fight. Damn this was painful yet fun to watch.
Always let the other person pick weapon first, so u can counterbuild, as they will probably buy armor for that item. So if they go mage, pick range, they go range, pick melee, they go melee, pick magic.
Idk if I agree with the item choice here. You gave the justiciar chestguard, basically guaranteeing one person the win, and the only other chest piece was Ahrim’s. Either have more Justiciar pieces for sale, or none. IMO that was too OP. Ahrim’s is massively inferior in defensive bonus to the Justiciar chestguard. As you saw here, magic could barely hit at all, and I doubt the outcome would have been any different even with Ahrim’s.
Video Idea - You and Link have to gear up in pvp worlds with 2 hired streamer/youtubers hunting you both. Then you fight with whatever gear you have left after getting pked / avoiding getting pked.
Rargh here’s a pvp idea. You guys spend 100k at shops 100k on the ge, one hour to smith/mine/woodcut/fletch, one hour to kill monsters and one hour to fish/ make potions. Except you can only acquire 3 items from each category, therefore you can only buy 3 things w your 100k, smith 3 things, acquire 3 wearable items from monsters, you have to get 3 of different high healing fish and 3 potions allowed. You guys get lobsters if you choose to spend all your time making potions rather than fishing.
I think a cool twist on this auction idea would be to not know how much gp the other person starts with could do a 2 part challenge so to speak where the first part is one hour of money making then have the auction then fight
Idea for next bidding challenge: Y'all bid before the item is revealed, could spend 10m on a rune med helm or 500k on an acb (also each of yall gets a list of the possible items)
the items that can be bought should have at least 1 melee, range and magic variant, there was only a justiciar chestguard and ahrim's robetop, not much choice which sucked imo
Seems like too much at that point 3 chest pieces 3 leg pieces 3 helms So 9 already plus the usual 3/4 weapons. That's 12/13 completely exluding accessories, capes, boots, and offhands
Im not sure who decides the items prior to the auction. However I think it's better to not have one of every item. It keeps Rargh and Link guessing Otherwise the auction would be pretty boring if you are just holding out waiting for an armadyl chestplate to go with your acb.
