I hope you see this message guys. I have been a fan of your music for over 10 years and love it all. I had the opportunity to watch you guys play in a little hall in Ballarat years ago and it still resonates with me. I feel you saw coming what we are experiencing today with Covid 19 government response. I was too young to see it back then, but understand now. I see truth in all of your music and hope one day to shake your hands, united as one.
You beat me to it Simon . I am now 67 yeah, and when I first heard this song on JJJ radio, I was a goner! What a song! What an incredibly uplifting and powerful burst of energy it is! It took me up and swept me away. From 2009 until 2020....The New Normal.- a song for NOW
@@stevenstewart8275 hope you know of tesseract. Another favourite of mine in 32 leaves. Only two albums but great IMO the band broke off and then turned into Codec with sadly only one album called horizontime. But the album's they did especially Codec, wow. Happy listening
@@ruukusanla Yea, Tesseract is great. I actually discovered them a little after Cog. The two bands are not really that similar though. I never heard of 32 leaves. I'll have to check them out. Thanks!
Don't burn it, buy the thing! If any one out there deserves everything they get, these guys are it. Buy their records, do what ever you can to support them. We wont get to see them again, but still support them!!
yet again......another lost great band...who came from australia and didnt get the support they needed to.....to garner much props!!!!!!!...great lyrics....awesome bass, amazing lead.......talk to actual knowledgeable foreign born music heads and they are blown away by how amazing these guys are.....
Darren Morse that's absurd, Tool formed back in 1989/90, how the hell could they steal Cog's limelight? anyway, completely different sounds and structure, these bands are nothing like each other.
It's not s bad as it reads mate relax. I just meant I always found so many people knew of and loved Tool and had never heard of COG and agreed it was a shame as I have found a lot of people that like Tool have been blown away when they head COG and agreed, it was a shame they had never heard of them sooner.
What If? is very powerful. I have had events manifest into existence from just asking the question, What If? inside my head on several different occasions.
bloke waked over and gave me a cd of the first cog album burnt in a cd when i was a kid playing 10 hours a day in the garage on the guitar. pretty sure he was from cog haha
choose freedom, open up government to people relations,i did today met with my local member and im on the way to government funding to teach the homeless how to build thier own homes,it will fix the skill shortage and homelessness and the econimy, all i had to do was what if in the future people just decided to choose freedom, stay free and choose freedom unconditionally from the inside if thats what it takes
Aussies RULE I am going to share this for forever until you guys get the recognition you deserve ! You have been trying to warn the world for nearly a decade 💜🙏🏻🌈

To be honest here, I personally get kind of tired seeing people comment on videos and put down entire genres of music, simply because it is such and such band. Just let people like what they like, and save the rest for yourself!
@xonktrof1 apparently so mate. The drummer Lucius has joined up with Jon Stockman of Karnivool to do something in a band called FloatingMe. The Vool are in the studio any time soon so I don't know how serious the project is. But right there are two very good musicians so I don't think it's just for a jamming session !
If you have a spare ticket for July let me know - I will fly 0000s of miles for the gig - just tell my wife i have gone away on business, I KNOW YOU WANT IT, well we've COME to START it
@Rosehawka of course it wouldnt help matters but it is not the sole cause of the temperature rising, sun spot activity has been immense the last decade this is a much more plausable idea than c02 being the main culprit.
Someone should burn this to DVD and send it out to every pop "artists" around the world, with a note attached saying- "Dear Sir, Madam, or Genetically engineered lagoon creature (that means you, Bieber) This is how its done. Yours sincerely, Earth."

@azmanabdula ha, no its fine, i'm just bored and lonely. My practical side, and what i've studied in history generally suggests that it would be very hard to establish, and maintain, a society based on total anarchy (i.e. no laws, no leader) just complete honesty and common sense. But underneath it all i'm still part anarchist and would love to live in a just and sensible world.
@samblah there might be general flux in the weather over hundreds of years, but you must at least admit that that tonnes of coal and oil we are burning is not helping matters

Such a shame that this band didnt get more traction.
Absolutely brilliant!
+sinisterbrutality I agree, I always felt Tool stole the limelight from these guys, the true masters of Aussie prog styled rock for me.

This film clip doesn't feel Australian, which is a good thing.
It's a shame that these guys don't get the recognition they deserve.
Iirc it was filmed in Weed, Washington- the place they recorded the album in, with Tool's producer, that's prolly why. Awesome song.

Which you should buy.
Legally.

Just learned that the time signature is super weird.
I reckon The River Song and The Spine. Musically and lyrically very good songs. Too bad they don't play The River Song live.
