Catching up on the past month of content. Great video!
To this day I tell/remind my friends about the Cambridge Analytica fiasco and it always leaves them in a state of disbelief and that was almost 10 years ago at this point!

The WiFi , if you're connected to the WiFi is it the WiFi device they'll track or the phone connected to it?
And what are the boundaries between device connected to a WiFi hotspot amd the ISP

Honesty at this stage I’d recommend you put a load of questions to Google Gemini. There are ways to track people using their phone because they walked past a WiFi point.

If they have money and authority. Think NSA, GCHQ, and all the other governments. Then throw malicious companies into the mix.

    • @theGaryRuddell

@@chinedumichael8776 Yeah you can make it harder. But the bottom line is that if you're doing something malicious in the eyes of a government, and they want access/tracking on you, they have essentially unlimited funds and authority to do anything they want. Curious thought... If you don't have access to doing a VM, if you setup a new user on your computer to do an investigation, then kill the user whenever done, will that be sufficient in covering yourself (provided you use VPN, TOR, etc.)? I ask for someone like me that is just starting out and doesn't have a machine that can run a VM well and don't have the finances to pay for an instance on the Cloud.

    • @theGaryRuddell

@trikster.online hey! It’s hard to do that because you just need to play with as many OSINT tools as possible. If you’ve watched all of my videos then you’ve already been exposed to a LOT! The most important thing is that you document the data points and pull on every damn thread!
