What a selection of products. It might be fun to expand the display cabinets right across the back wall to accommodate a few more built sets. Wishing Iain bumper sales at Portsmouth and an enjoyable Falcon build. Thank you.
Thanks. I can't put anocabunet there at the moment as I have another piece of furniture in that space that you can't see on the videos. Yes, hopefully Portsmouth willbe a good event.
Great video. Box damage is certainly frustrating, and increasingly common. Lego are usually pretty good, but they've abandoned the soft corrugated packing material and just strengthened the outer box instead. This sometimes means large sets can crush small sets in transit when they're in the same box. Zavvi and John Lewis are usually ok, but the worst are Very - they sent the Ghostbusters Ecto-1 and Dune Artreides Ornithopter in thin plastic mail bags, and both sets were totally wrecked when they arrived. It's a hassle, but I always send sets back if they have anything more than very minor marks, as its not fair if poor packaging reduces the set condition and resale value. Lego are the best with returns as they're really quick, and usually credit you with some Insiders points for the inconvenience.
Set conditions on delivery's can vary - generally I'm fairly luck but occasionally something will arrive battered. I have sent things back in the past, but it has to be pretty bad for that to happen.
Always fun to watch what you buy! When I saw your Amazon order wrapped in bubble wrap I was worried for you but I’m glad for you it was okay. Last year I ordered a Treehouse set from Amazon. When it arrived I it was encased in pieces of bubble wrap and tapped with masking tape to the box in a lot of places. It is unsellable now.
Couldn’t get the Game website to work but managed to get an order at House of Fraser (same company). My dark falcon, Jedi Bob starfighter and Avengers v Leviathan are due for delivery today. All half price. Great video as always.
I love these haul videos!! I missed out on the star lords helmet, I think it’s going to be a winner in the long run . Very hard to get under rrp. I remember when you get some in the sale at Smiths. They sold out very quick. As ever mate Thankyou for the entertaining content. Matt from Dorset
Have you considered extracting the minifigures in the Animal Crossing sets, resealing the bags and box and selling them on at a show? One of the traders at the London event was doing this with the Disney GWP, clearly labelled as minus the minifigures of course. The parts in these sets are great I'm sure they'd be snapped up!
Hi Darren. I had thought abdoing that, but one of my pet hates is taking figures out of sets and reselling the rest of the sets without figures. I'm happy to keep the rest of the sets for now as I do like to build them. In years to come I will probably sell the sets on as used with the figures included
Hi Iain, the BL set has almost doubled here already and I'm still waiting for mine which will be Dec but it should arrive for my birthday..I intend to build it. Have fun at the fair.
Nice little haul there, spending some of that hard earned cash!! Regards the Bricklink sets, just be patient buddy, put them away for a year or so and they’ll make good money!! My Bricklink sets from 2022 have doubled in price now and with the limited stock it won’t take long to increase!! 👍 Good luck in Portsmouth!!
Great haul Iain. My haul from Game & Sports direct got cancelled, then to make things worse, my 2 Lego Star wars Mos Eisley cantina sets from John Lewis got damaged on route. 😢
@iainsbricks I ordered about £400 of Lego from Game and Sports direct. The John Lewis order was gutting when I heard it was damaged. They had to refund me as there was no stock. Amazon has just delivered so I'm happy now. 😃
suprised the black falcon from game wasnt cancelled. seen loads of unhappy people with their orders cancelled. some still waiting for their orders since 23rd october
@@oliransome173 I'm afraid I won't be taking the Brick Cross set to Portsmouth I have a lot of other sets I want to take with me to the event, and I only have a certain amount of room in my car. Hi Ian please email John lewis and tell them you spend alot with them .and they will refund part of those sales just tell them box really damaged they will refund you part of the sale .
Very are crap! I bought five speeds jumping sets from very the other week. All of them were sent out in a large plastic sack and they were all completely squished and suffice to say they all got returned Even Lego deliveries through dpd are not very good lately. They tend to send out some sets in flimsy packaging which doesn't help. Every and no worse than anybody else. It just depends on the integrity of the boxes. The boxes which items are sent out in determined whether they get destroyed or not. If you want to guarantee you get a decent Lego box without any damage, I'm afraid you'll have to go into a bricks and mortar store and pick your own set - and i dont mean click & collect from anywhere ..
It is a shame that so many Lego sets are ruined by poor delivery services. Luckily, I tend not to have too many problems with stuff from Lego or Amazon
@darrenchandler7538 people need to be aware that Lego investing is not guaranteed money ! If this was stocks it would come with a disclaimer about values not guaranteed..these videos are exactly the same and should have a similar warning
I've done enough videos showing the ups and downs of Lego investing and reselling over the last few years. Yes, I've been to some bad shows this year with low sales, but there have also been some really good ones as well, so there is definitely still a market out there for Lego festivals and events.
"I dont remember buying all of these" ... yep, we can relate ...
I'm getting a bit forgetful in my old age 🤣

You aren't the only one who had a crease on brick cross station.....Train shed in the previous run came in ready to ship boxes.
Yes,it's a shame the box is a bit creased. Hopefully the rest of my Bricklink order will arrive OK.
Awesome haul Iain! Nice to get lucky sometimes when you get something you did not order 😃
Thanks Peter. I think I got confused as I couldn't remember show many sets I ordered! I definitely only ordered 2 from John Lewis though.
Interesting, Ian. Packaging for my Brick Station also came mashed (sets somehow okay tho). No inner buffering either. Not LEGO's finest hour
Yes, it's a shame Lego don't take more care on these expensive sets.

Thanks for watching. Yes, it's unusual to see items delivered in bubble wrap from Amazon. Glad the box was OK though.
I was able to snag the Dark Falcon from Game for £85! I really thought they might have canceled my order, but it showed up a week later. Great vid 😄
That's fantastic. I'm really looking forward to building it.

£80 for the Falcon!!!! I want one!!! How do you find these deals👏
Thanks Matt. Yes, the Star Lord helmets were difficult to get at discount
I get a lot of info from a Discord channel I'm part of.
Entertaining as always 👍
Thanks for watching Martyn.
Looking forward to part 2
I should be able to do another haul video early next week.
"I don't have a hairdryer.." - 'Looking snazzy with that shaved bonce, there Iain!
Lol! I've not needed a hairdryer for years! Keeping my hair short makes it easy to dry after a shower

Hopefully Portsmouth will be reasonably busy.
@ Good lad, it’ll be the right choice!! Can’t wait for the series 3 sets to turn up next year by the way!! 👍
Wow Iain 🎉 We're always particularly excited when we see you get a bargain 😀
You and me both! 😁
I was after the harbour master one but missed it 😔

@@deangill.6772 yes, I did hear some of the larger orders got cancelled. Bit naughty from Game though as they should really be honouring their orders.
Harry Potter Wizarding Wheezes great set and a great price. Am undecided to bite at £85 and keep it for 18 months
Definitely expensive at £85. I'd try and use some insiders points or possibly wait for an Argos discount if possible

Another great video Iain, but I do think this is becoming abit of an addiction lol.
Thanks Johnny. Yes, buying Lego has become very addictive for me. I may need to go to Lego's Anonymous!

I know I should, but to be fair, the damaged set was extra and didn't cost me anything
Whenever i watch your un boxings you always seem to get damaged boxes! Unlucky
I think with the amount of sets I order, I'm bound to get a few sets that aren't perfect.
@iainsbricks fair point, I live in Spain and buy a lot as well, not as much as you mind but I would say 95% has always arrived perfect.

It wasonly one set, which was an extra set so I'll avoid complaining this time.

He just needs fairs where people actually buy now ! Very easy to buy lots but selling lots seems a challenge..
