Great content man, I’m following the series. I just got me an 07 6.0 Ext Cab SB Black like your buddies truck, got me a check engine light that just popped up, I picked up a SCT X4 today to hopefully to read the codes and figure it out. I feel your pain with breaking down man.
Your glow plug codes going away is interesting. I’m going to assume this problem isn’t 100% fixed. I think you have wire chafing issues, there’s a couple of chafe spots on the engine harness you’ll have to look it up. Check the 3-4 main harness connections right on top of the driver side fender liner and at the PCM. The engine wire harness separates into 4 bigger connectors. One of the connectors on top of your fender liner may be broken and not staying secured. You can zip tie them secured. Try moving your engine harness up and down by the driver side valve cover and see if it runs smoother if it’s still running rough like your previous videos. Anyway, 4 connection points, at the pcm and the 3 others are on top of the driver fender liner. Or wire chafe issues at the intake manifold studs etc. Good luck. These trucks will test you through and through, and like 50% of the fixes are just dumb easy things related to wiring and other things.
About a year and a half ago I had #2 injector go bad on my 6.0. Would start and run fine but when it shifted into over drive it shook like crazy and would blow black smoke replaced it runs good now!
Nice job. I would highly recommend getting a fuel pressure gauge. Just to confirm you are getting the correct pressure while cranking. Also, save your starter by disconnecting the starter relay and jumping it to the battery. That can still build high pressure oil for you and start the truck
@ 1% of the time lol. If you were to put all the diesel break downs over all the makes in a pie graph how fuckin big do you think the 6.os portion would be ? A little bigger than the 6.4. Also ford has the most recall out of all them to this day That’s just facts you can find right now.
@ I’ll drive Cummins or a duramax but I’m not buying a truck I have to “ bulletproof” to make reliable. Plus they alllll look the same. Some 20 year old kid driving, rock lights😂, big ass rims, usually a lot of white leds in the mirrors and cab lights, big ass exhaust tip. I don’t believe you.
I like 6.0s just as much as the next guy but the damn layout in the engine bay gives me the ability to swear like no other.
fr
6.0 layout is pretty much second place to a cummins of ease to work on
@@sportbikerunnerI was gonna say 😂. The 6.0 engine bay ain’t that bad lol. The 6.4 and 6.7 are worse
nice man glad you got her back running keep these videos rollin man love them !!!
Like the KR in great shape
Put a new FICM IN!!!!!
My truck was doing the same thing. Got a FICM from diesel tech Ron a few years back and the truck ran STRONG!
He did a new ficm already
@ dang!!

I see the Terrebonne Ford Decal on the back, I'm from right down the bayou in Luling. Glad to see you got her running again.
Every tech goes down the 6.0 rabbit hole at least once, and then they learn it’s somethin dumb lol. We’ve all been there

“pulled out and flatfooted it twice and now it runs better”🤣🤣🤣🤣
The most 6.0 owner thing iv ever heard😂 and I know exactly what he means cuz I own one💀
Dorman cant go on the 6.0 man but in a pinch we gotta do what we gotta

Thing sounds exactly like mine when trying to start it and it’s idling I had a bad ficm replaced brand new and doesn’t mess up anymore all smooth
You need to run some of that hot shot sauce in your oil and some non synthetic transmission fluid in the diesel from time to time
What happened to those injectors? I need 1 bo
would like a review of carsons power stroke too if you can !!!
Came sensor or HP pump
Does your freind Carson have a yt?
Run a high idle
Is carsons 6.0 a manual?
U can see it is at 12:42
@@JmoneyTheGreat66yeah i saw that after commenting
Change that injector and stop talking before it gets stuck open
6.0 injector torque is 24 not 31
@@ryanpatrick6945 Warren, holders and many other places suggest 31 never had one issue from 31ft pounds
Not surprising. Buy a duramax bud.
@@rodleypumpkins4174 then it would be broke 100% of the time and not 1%

Time to sell it and get a newer 6.7 lol
in a few years these will have all these problems from sensors x10
i just traded my 6.0 for a cummins to save myself from the swearing 😂😂
A half decent scan tool would have saved you about 2 days worth of trouble and 1 injector
@@ryancrispin1805 for real 😭
Get you another 6.0 truck and fummins swap it. lol I like 6.0 but i couldnt have one as a daily
@@codywilson1957 I don’t want something unreliable imma stick with powerstroke
Watch your icp and ipr to see if your building high pressure oil
You said "cold start" then I saw the Louisiana plates. Those two statements don't go together
