Dan Simmons at Number One? Interesting. I've enjoyed some Dan Simmons stuff, and I admittedly haven't read Ilium yet, but I wouldn't have thought to place him as top tier. Now I'm curious to see what else he was placing near the top. 😁 i haven't read "Heart of the Sea," but I do know from other books I've read that the story of the Essex is compelling and that Philbrick is an excellent writer. Put the two together and I'd imagine you've got a great read ahead. 👍 Great set of bookish acquisitions. Have a good one!
