Arteta just looks like he belongs here
He does!
It looks like he wants to be here. You can sense it really. Like... a part of a whole.
That's because he belongs here!!!
He actually speaks English
D Mensah tf did u just realise so did Unai and Wenger
One touch football, and moving the ball in triangles and getting them to not panic and pass when opposition presses is a brilliant start. So much more to come.
It’s great to see. Just don’t get why Luiz still has to take 3 touches every time
@ollie it’s not just about one touch passes, as you can here him he speaks about attracting the opponent in order to switch the play and creat more space.
Raymundo Marquez still doesn’t mean he isn’t super slow on the ball and gives it away more often than not
You also forget he’s a center back and sadly probably our best with the ball.
One touch?
Bring back Jack Wilshere, Aaron Ramsey, Santi Cazorla & Olivier Giroud.. they are Master of one touch football

Well said
Look at us one year later, our fanbase is toxic.
Arteta is unexperienced and still almost to get reached UEL final, not to mention without the VAR bs we will still secure Top 4, i hope Arteta realise he needs to make summer signing early and CAM is the most important in the squad for 4-2-3-1 formation.

It is early but he is clear with his instructions and looks like he belongs. Any players that have issues with him being manager can leave. Also good having Dani back. I think he will thrive under Mikel.

Honestly. However, one thing is for certain: MA will be drilling these lot at the basics until they’re literally doing these drills in their heads even whilst they sleep at nights.
We must be patient, MA is working on these lot. Whoever is willing to learn and is coach able will remain and be apart of this new way.
Whoever isn’t, will move on. It will take time, but we will teach our destination.

How did we find ourselves there? We will come back slowly when all players above 30 leave
Arteta's just injecting lots of energy into the players and team, the best way to do that on the training pitch is just what we saw, lot's of positive direction and encouragement. These guys have been really down for quite awhile, they need a big boost. The fans need to really get behind them, too. This is how you turn a season around, it all starts with positive energy and sharpening the basics. If you've ever coached, then you would know this. COYG !!!

Team building exercises, with a proper, english speaking coach. You can see he wants the team back together again and having chemistry and even when he goes serious, it's clear, concise and very directed. Spirit, passion and energy. That was his basic non negotiable.
I like this guy.
Anyone else starting to get pumped about this guy and realising our potential. While I had my doubts his press conference and the passion he conveys is really making me feel optimistic again a feeling Arsenal haven’t given me in a long time.

I love the bit where Laca asks can we do flicks and arteta said no. It shows he’s very serious and wants us to improve instead of messing about and not improving
Did I just see a Barcelona style rondo? Could this the return of the fluid and at times mesmerizing passing football arsenal played under Arsene?
Clinical passing, sharp movement and high pressure closing down of the ball
That Guy Mo yes you did . This is evident that arteta has studied pep down to the ground and that he’s got all the knowledge in the bank to be able to help arsenals attacking style for sure , the pressure and closing down will be like clock work when the players are used to the drill , and the pressure it takes if you do it correct it can win you the ball in 6 7 seconds , you can see the players looking on and thinking others have tried this but wasn’t making it as simple ,, arteta explained it perfectly , make sure body shape when always looking round for the pass is set too the team mate then you can keep the pass sharp and fast , and the movement happens like clock work ,, really hope the players latch on quicker than expected
Cmon mikel
hey arsenal guys, as a city fan i will tell you you are about to see a whole lot of rondo training now
Yeah, Wenger employed this training a ton as well. But I can tell these are more intense and taken even more seriously. Been watching Tifo Tactics on Pep, City, Barca and can see the influence on Arteta, and that bodes well.
This is true for Barca training sessions as well. Rondos until infinity.
Infinito thanks to cruyff And then his disciple pep Guardiola.
The players seem happier and seem to be enjoying the training more than I've seen over the last 2 years.
Let's hope the Arteta effect has significant bearing on us, both in the short term, and the long term.
I really feel good about this visionary and futuristic appointment.
Visionary and futuristic.
As a Barça Fan i can see he has all the Cruyff concepts and i think he has the charisma to make his players understand the concepts but have to give him time, even Guardiola had a bad first year while he was rebuilding the club!
Basically teaching the squad what's most needed in football by playing a pass to the stronger foot your team mate which boils down to positioning and movement of the ball. Already loving MA
Willy1886 Channin28 basic training.
Might be basic training but MA is asserting his message. Lets all back him and give this honest guy a chance

Yes Arteta, sprinkle some of that winning mentality to the lads! Up the Arsenal!!!!!!!!!!!!! GET IN!!

An opinion. That Rondo drill (2:34) looks to be more intended for midfielders as they are the connection between the defence and forwards. 2 MFs in the circle (Xhaka, Ceballos/ Ozil, Guendouzi) as well as 2 'opponents'. Maybe to develop very high awareness to the positioning of their teammates & opponents as well as increasing composure when under pressure. I'm liking this so far. Good luck Arteta!
It’s normal In teams that play, high possession based football. Nothing special with that drill In particular. Worryingly the players. We’re poor at the drill at this level.
@@chiemekabob It's okay. That's what happened to Bayern squad too when Pep first introduced rondo to their training. It's the first session after all.

Take note of these videos... when Arteta is speaking, note who is looking and listening. Also note who isn’t looking and appears not to be listening and see who plays on match days and who remains at the club.
If there is a correlation, be sure that Arteta has adopted the same leadership style as pep Guardiola.
Fair point actually.
Any player who thinks he's above management should be gone in January
Kinda right, at the same time when someone tells me some importznt information i don't look them in the eye just look sideways and focus on what they're saying
Amadeo however In this instance Arteta was giving specific visual instructions that needed to be seen. For example, ‘I receive the ball here, I pass the ball to this specific player who is free and available, not to that player who is nearly marked - after I release the ball, I move to this position to be available to receive the ball from my team mate on the ball who needs options”.
This is what I was referring to. I noticed during these examples, certain players weren’t watching, but appeared to be looking around at everything but Arteta.

Although Arsenal has not been performing at their highest level... A LOT of you are underestimating the quality of players here.. after all, they are at ARSENAL for a reason.. they didn't end up here by chance. In the worldwide spectrum, Arsenal is still at the top 5% of biggest clubs in the world. You will be surprised what a proper shift in mentality and coaching can do to this group.. there will be changes in players but for now watch and see the little things come to life again.

From this short video it looks like Mikel is a hands on type of coach, he is also very relevant to the premier league, I have a good feeling about him. The biggest problem with Emery was communication, a few words at the right time go a long way to keeping players motivated but he couldn't do that with his restricted English so he eventually lost the players in my opinion. I wish him well he is showing class with his comments since getting the sack.
Arteta just has more positive energy, which is exactly what these guys need and needed. It all starts with that. I think he also understands the EPL much better than Emery ever did, he played in it and has been around it for a long time. I think Mikel and Freddie are going to really inject a fighting spirit in Arsenal which they haven't had in a long time. Very good vibe. COYG !!!

I just LOVE seeing Mikel and Freddie out there working with these guys. They will instill the fight and determination that has been missing back into the team. This will get us back on the road to rebuilding the future Arsenal team that will reclaim the club's greatness. Yes, we have to be patient and there will be players moved on and brought in. We all know we've needed defenders for awhile, as well as a midfielder or two, but there is still talent in this team that just got lost under Emery. Mikel and Freddie will bring the true Arsenal character back to life, you can feel it and see it. COYG !!!

Don't expect too much and too quickly. One or two training sessions will not change much.
