Love hearing you get excited and gush and go into details. I watch your channel so much because you are so opinionated, and I love that. I have a whole lot of thoughts and opinions about dolls, too, so it feels really validating to hear you go off. So often in this video I was nodding my head, saying “Yes yes!” And yelling at Mattel through the screen lol. You hit the nail on the head with everything.

I also feel optimistic. Not every doll is for me, which I'm actually glad about because I can't afford them all. The price is a bit of a barrier for me, especially because I'm in Canada and end up paying about 50% more. However, I like the general trends, but I don't think Barbie quality will match that of the past. I am disappointed that the first two dolls in the reboot of the Barbie Fashion Model Collection were not nearly as high quality as the peak of the series in around 2005 to 2015. I am also wondering about the rumors I have heard that the Barbie Basics are coming back, when I thought the Barbie Looks was the modern version with MTM bodies. The Basics had Model Muse Barbies, so I hope we don't lose that.
I’d love to see more releases on their Made To Move bodies. By far the best articulated dolls available widely. Articulation is my jam
This is super exciting 😊. I wasn’t sure if I would ever be excited about Barbie again since they haven’t done many good dolls in awhile. I do like some of the occasional collector dolls, but for the most part, I haven’t been happy with them in years. It’s sad to me because my first doll was Barbie, and she’s all I used to collect for dolls. Now they seem to be starting up again with some really nice dolls. I can’t wait to see them in person; and what comes next 💗

I totally agree with you and think we are heading towards a new Barbie Core era. I have bought way less Barbies this past year or 2 than I did in the past just because the designs have been meh. But even some of the playline dolls are getting saran hair and less or no pixilation. I am hopeful.
i’m really looking forward to the deluxe style dolls! i’d like to get two/possible three of the four of them (not the millie though 😆). i was a little bummed when the extra line ended but i think these might be even better 👀
that space cowgirl doll would be STUNNING … for a $50 price point. $75 is a bit pricey for a doll with an (admittedly cool looking) largely plastic outfit. i like the look a lot but i worry about how it’ll hold up over time.
i’m definitely happy to see barbie going this direction though! and i hope mattel keeps it going - with more reasonable prices!

I think these newer releases are much better than most of the last decade Barbie in general.
While still these dolls don't speak to me as much i can still say that Mattel is going in the right direction(finally).
What i want from Mattel is to emphasize fashion and style over quantity for Barbie.They can continue with their budget lines but also release more deluxe dolls with better fashions overall.
And please stop using the Millie face sculpt.Use the Odile face sculpt or the Generation Girl Barbie's face sculpt but not Millie's please 😭
