    It's amazing that all of this happens within the reaction of a second, or if slow, in a few seconds.

  • @saddisman5762
    @saddisman5762 4 ปีที่แล้ว +59

    All of that happens in less than 2 seconds and we still have to wait for a video on TH-cam to buffer

      @@b.a.r7492 If you have to wait at all its not youtube's fault. Its you the user. You have bad connection. Either slow internet, poor cell signal, or crappy wifi, but by all means push the blame to someone else.

      @@MattPiekarsky idk why ur so mad, sometimes the video takes a while to load. Just in general. My WiFi is fine and so is my phone signal. Like idk why you're so mad over this. chill bruh

    I can barely see a tiny rectangular chip against a light, not any antenna loops like in those security stickers in shops.

    How does it work on machines that aren't connected to any networks, like the one on the bus I drive. That one uploads all its transactions when it gets back to the depot. How does it decide which cards and phones to accept and which to decline?

    I saw a video that basically said Samsung pay and Android pay (google pay, Gpay) are supported everywhere, Apple pay is not. I'm wondering why? Also some of the cashiers got slightly mad at him trying to use samsung pay because Apple pay doesn't work.

      all your card information is encoded in the mag stripe so when you swipe , it reads.

    thanks for the video but there are social and privacy concerns about these modern digital solutions, plus thieves are getting smarter in our days, thieves have adopted ways of catching up with this new technology for example: if thieves would get a way to hack, jam or code these systems wont that jeopardize the lives of those who may fully rely on this technology

    • @strangethoughts3314
      @strangethoughts3314  7 ปีที่แล้ว +5

      In regards to privacy you are completely right, the idea of your bank and the credit card processors knowing the time, place, and context of your every purchase is a bit off, especially in countries where the privacy of this isn't as in trusted in law.
      But when it comes to the security of the cards I wouldn't worry, other then physically stealing the card the security built into the system prevents any other misdeeds. Additionally even if your card gets stolen or even more unlikely hacked, you bank is required to refund you the value of the transaction.

    I canceled my Capital One credit card because they do NOT offer touchless cards.
    I've read and heard too many stories of accounts being grabbed and cloned from touchless cards.

    • @affectionatepunch
      @affectionatepunch 5 ปีที่แล้ว +9

      So you cancelled your capital one credit card because they didn't offer contactless then you complain about contactless in your next sentence make your mind up 🥴

    • @Mundus-vult-decipi
      @Mundus-vult-decipi 4 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Canceling cards impacts your credit history. It’s best not to cancel unless you have a big history. And if your really worried about security than I would say only use the chips or the touch less cards. But even if someone steals your credit card information it’s not really your money your stealing, it’s the banks money. And a simple call will get the transactions reversed. The banks are the ones who are really loosing out here if your information is stolen. Find a bank that you trust though

  • @Philly_Jump_Over_The_Fence
    @Philly_Jump_Over_The_Fence 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    I doubt your bank account is checked for sufficient funds in the space of time you make a contactless payment.
