been faithfully using this since it came out well 1998 i think. i have had all of the silver box line and this is one of the keepers. i recomend a COMPRESSION and PROPPER ENVELOPE pedal at least.
No, from what I can tell the envelope only affects the amp in the MC-303. You can modulate the filter via the LFO or record knob movements in the sequencer but no envelope.
I absolutely LOATHE this machine. I still have PTSD from purchasing one at full price of $2,000 CAD in 1996, which equates $3,571.55 CAD in 2024! I totally got sucked into all of the marketing from Roland in Computer Magazine and Future Magazine. Imagine what you could buy for $3,571.55 CAD in 2024!? The MIDI implementation is absolutely garbage. The sound is garbage. It aliases like crazy - and not in that desirable 12 bit sampler way. The filter is a garbage fire. Everything squashed through a pair of stereo outs is garbage. The DSP effects are garbage. The song mode is archaic. It's a paperweight in my opinion! It's not worth the power it draws upon!
Thx for this info .this was the stuff i was looking for . Clearly expleaned 10/10

@@pepuletrz Thanks for watching and commenting! The year was 1996, the MC-505 came out in '98. And yes - both amazing machines! 😊👍
Thank you for this
Thanks for watching! 😊👍
Is it possible to put reverb on a single rhythm part?
No, but you can select a drum sound for an instrument part and use the reverb on that.
I have this machine and for my sins, I love it quirks and all.
It is a great box! Thanks for watching and commenting! 😊
Can i to affect envelope on the filter?

People buy it for its sequencer and arpeggiator alone to control external gear, which makes perfect sense imho...
@@LousyFacelift I could never get it to work properly for external gear. I'd rather use a modern sequencer like a Beatstep Pro or similar anyway.
