After a year and half of administration as CM, I could positively say that he has fulfilled what he said in this interview and even more. Education, Health, and Irrigation Projects are the topmost agenda. All the projects in AP now go through reverse tending saving taxpayer’s money.
In improvise Govt. Systems, Govt. is revamping all Government Schools, Colleges and Hospitals under a program named “Nadu-Nedu” which means then and now.

Close to 45,000 schools will be revamped in three phases, 15,000 schools are completed in phase 1. These schools, colleges and hospitals will compete with Private sector. Mothers are encouraged to send their kids schools instead of work wherein they get Rupees 15,000 per year. Today Government is paying this fee to mothers even if they send their kids to private schools, once these schools are remodeled and revamped , mothers have no reason to send their kids to private schools and they can save Rupees 15,000 for their family.
English as medium of study will be introduced in all government schools starting this year. Telugu, the mother tongue is made compulsory and government has changed the syllabus to suit modern needs and providing all the books to, including notebooks to schools’ kids. Each textbook will be printed in both mother tongue and English side by side so kid gets assistance as they transition into full blown English medium.
Pre-Schools like private Pre-Kindergarten is now introduced for government schools as well for early child development. Mid-day meals menu and quality is completely changed.
