For real. Tucson is more Sonoran, while Phoenix is kind of a mix of Sonoran, Mojave, and Native American. It’s not 19 miles. The campuses are 47 miles apart. Just for clarity it’s 19 miles from TCU to Arlington where the Cowboys play. It’s 25 miles from SMU to Arlington.
@@RaidingJaguarX I didn’t say that was the distance between the two schools. They were talking about the Cowboys stadium as a reference point. Maybe I should’ve worded it better.
If Sam Houston State, which isn’t in Houston, isn’t on the last list, then Rice shouldn’t be either as there is a Rice, TX, but it’s not home to the university.
I agree they both should count. The only argument for different treatment would be that the city of Houston was incorporated before Sam Houston State. Rice, TX and the Rice Institute were both in the same year, 1912...though Rice, TX existed as an unincorporated community before then. That is a terrible argument. They both should count. Same with Austin College if you wanted to do Division III...which you should not.
When I think about the chargers I think San Diego so I was saying San Diego State and thought they were stupid for saying the closest school is one in LA
Are you measuring from the campus or from the stadium for the first question? If it's from the stadium, Georgia Tech's Bobby Dodd is closer to Mercedes-Benz than Georgia State's Center Park by about 0.2 miles.
They were both right about the Gophers and Vikings playing in each other's stadiums. I think they're one of the only Pro/College teams that's had that scenario, because there was a period where the Gophers played in the Metrodome and the Vikings played at TCF (now Huntington) Bank Stadium
Notre Dame and Stanford are debatable. They both are in unincorporated census designated areas named Notre Dame and Stanford respectively -- meaning technically Notre Dame is not in South Bend and Stanford is not in Palo Alto.
Upsets me they knew CSU and Fort Collins but couldn't think of Wyoming when it came to naming more than one Cowboy team other than OSU. #suckstobeacsuram ;)
West Virginia and Appalachian State are not close. WVU is in the northern part of WV about 20 mile from the PA border. ASU is in western North Carolina which is closer to Eastern Tennessee than WV.
I’m confused by the measurement here. Pitt plays at the Steelers stadium but Duquesne’s campus is closer since Pitt’s campus is in Oakland not the city
The cowboys one is super close. I live in Dallas and I would have had a toss up between Smu and TCU. Brother take about 30 minutes to get to from Arlington
