It's not only EY. All audit firms work like this. It's a life of CAs. My lifestyle is exactly the same. In the audit field, we need to know how to manage stressful lifestyle. We don't get paid overtime because our work is always overtime and you are right. All audit firms have higher employment turnover
All audit firms may work over time during particular time like due date end not all the time..here the team has given more work than in any other Audit firm....see her mother's letter... what she undergone is not normal....also in India generally we have normalised working overtime which is also basically wrong

I can relate anna Sebastien career life to myself...!!!! Because same shit happened to me !!! I had worked more than 12 hours, 24x7, Saturday Sunday!!!! I worked in Chennai based Healthcare ITES sector as HR for 4 yrs!!!! Workplace poltics is peak !!!! If we don't put jalra, they will target and treat like slaves in north Korea... Team lead is pombalai porukki and he is psycho... I started to drink alcohol because of pressure, stress and depression...I got same symptoms like chest pain, panic attack , spinal pain... I went to doctor for checkup...!!! ECG abnormalities detected, cholesterol to peak, high bp etccc... I quit my job and I am getting many offers... But i didn't joined anywhere, because i still didn't recoverd from that psychotic toxic work environment!!! My Team lead always threatened me Nazi Hitler Even during last day, he made me to sit till midnight 12 am !!!!

Yes this is so true I have been through this, the reason behind it is not only the job which is being toxic it’s the society. after struggling and studying taking credits not getting suitable job, the world don’t judge you for what’s good inside you but how much money you have so everyone get a job in a branded company signing up for slavery after joining taking loans to please the world then we get stuck with EMI and other financial problems life becomes miserable work pressure gets high in a month of joining can’t work nor quit because of commitment 14 hrs work 3-4 hours travelling poor eating habit more medical condition we set our own trap only death can set us free 😢
