I give my 5th graders 5 pencils on Monday. If they return all 5 of them to me on the following Monday to be replenished, they get a water bottle sticker. If they run out or lose their pencils during the week, they have to bargain with their classmates for a pencil. I don't give them more. It has saved me so many pencils this year and most of the time they bring all 5 pencils to be traded in. My co-teacher doesn't even allow cap erasers, only the big pinks ones. It works GREAT!
I am a first grade teacher and this year has been a very tough year with behaviors. Thank you for keeping it real, I appreciate these types of videos to know what/how other teachers handle behaviors.
We have an alarm also, and have the same fear. Prior to entering and after leaving and resetting it after hours though we have to call the district dispatch. . . . Oh and the pencils!!! Struggle is real.
I teach 7th grade this year and the behaviors are so bad! For one of my students so far, his Mom came in to school for the day to see how he is acting during his classes (of course he was being great with his mom present). Maybe something like this needs to be done? Actually having the parents come for the day to really see how their child is acting in class.
Cameras in the classroom would be great wish just like you said that you had access to it and if an incident happened you could send it to the parents or parents of the involved
Love the glasses, and I totally agree even though I am young. So much happens that not everyone see's.
The redemption sound 🙌

This year has been extremely challenging as far as behaviors. I am hearing the same thing from teachers all over the nation.
I agree this has been an extremely tough year when it comes to student behaviors.

We’ve reached that point in the year that pencils are scarce as well. I feel like my kinders eat them 🤣
Nada que ver con las escuelitas rurales de Colombia... I really love this kind of videos. Keep it up, thank you 😊
Lol my school is testing two days after we return from break. Insanity.
There is a TH-camr talks about parents that are not teachers and the parents are raising their kids like the lion king. The TH-camr is Josh Pray.
Aren't there cameras on school busses? However they got permission for that, the same should apply to classrooms.
