I just wanted you to know!! For the last three years you helped an older dad and his 23 ish son build stick bows!! And most of all !! Helping build a strong relationship between father and son!! Priceless!! We started with your Home Depot bow building. Lol.. Take good care and Thanks.
I'm honestly so glad that you sold Shatterproof and you're going to let your brother own and run the company. Can I offer some advice to Kramer and Kaz? Kramer: you have skill as entertainer. You're comfortable in front of the camera, you look good in front of the camera, and you have excellent communications skills. If the rest of your audience is anything like me, we like to watch you screw around and tinker in your shop. To me that means we just enjoy watching you do that, or it means we like to screw around and tinker with our own stuff too. I would set up a studio shop, and just screw around and tinker as much as possible with every aspect of archery. And of course film it! Narrow your focus to filming content, even if that means you have to hire someone to edit your videos and help film. Kaz: Not to discourage you, but you're entering a market with multiple headwinds. Hunting as a sport is declining, and even within the hunting community, all trad bows and upright compounds now have to compete against the very superior crossbow. You also have to compete with all the other manufactures. Fred bear figured out how to mass produce bows almost 90 years ago, and I am sure they are still doing a fine job. Im sure that the bows Shatterproof make are of much higher quality and that is because you guys instill your passion into your product. So you're going to want to focus on making sure that quality is maintained as the business continues on. That might mean you have to hire people to help with the business side of the business. You'll also want to pay attention to how the big manufactures run their businesses. There's a reason Bear archery does a lot of business with department stores and the other big 4 maintain their manufacturer-dealership model. I am pretty sure you guys are Direct-to-consumer right now, But it would be worth looking into other modes of business.
As a business owner, a father and a customer I absolutely respect your choice. You and your brother are destined for great things. You have been an inspiration to me with my archery journey and as a result brought my whole family into it. Thank you and I look forward to your future content!
Truly the most enjoyable trad archery videos out there. No one projects the passion for the sport as do you. But the time does come when one has to decide if this or that is really where the heart resides. Good for you in your new endeavor and I certainly will continue watching Shatterproof videos when they come out. Kaz is as personable as you and I'm confident he will continue to grow the business. Best of luck to you and your family.
Congrats to Kaz, and best of luck to you both. I really enjoy watching your high strung, borderline maniacal (I mean that in the best way possible) thought process for sorting out issues and overcoming them.
I, too, have a young son. He is six, and I felt so deeply what you said about going home and being emotionally drained from not doing what it is you like. I work in the car industry. I dont like cars like that. I like bows and would love nothing more than to build something around them. I signed up as an affiliate with Shatterproof Archery. Kaz called me personally to ask if I had questions and to say thank you. I missed that call, but I can not express how awesome that was. Everything I know about making bows I learned from you. Keep on keeping on and enjoy every minute with those kids.
Congratulations man and good luck. I started making bows about the time that you started making content about it. I learned about it and made them for a few years. Then I had some issues and had to go to rehab and start my life over. But I've been clean for 3 years now and just started making bows again. You have been a major part of my bow making journey and my recovery. I hope you get everything you want out of life. And I love your strings and leather work. And I have 2 of your strings and a tillering string. I need to get a glove and a arm guard I'll order them today or tomorrow.
So glad to hear you getting back into the things you enjoy. I also took me a few years to get back into some of the hobbies i loved before getting clean. First year was just hanging on for dear life and then the next 2 were spent learning how to live. About year 3 things started to even out for me and i picked up my instruments again, got some production gear and started back doing something that i enjoyed but had never done sober before. I love that you're returning to things you loved doing. I kept getting told to try everything again. They emphasized "everything". I was told that i'll revitalize my love for some things, not really be feeling some things anymore, and find some new things. I really enjoy hearing about people like you who have succeeded in doing one of the hardest things to attempt in life. It encourages me to keep on moving forward while extending a hand to those currently struggling to do it. Thanks for sharing that with us.
Congrats to both of you. Kaz for now being an Entrepreneur by 100% and you for having had the guts to take such an important decision. All the best for both of you.
Hey Kramer, I love your self reflection and bravery to do what is meaningful for you and your family. I appreciate the fact that you took time to meet with me and chat and I hope you still love Archery and can not wait to see what new designs you come up with. If there's anything I can do to help please let me know - Maybe talk with Kaz and see if he is interested in being on Quick Shots with you to discuss the transition as well? Best of luck to both of you!!!! ❤🏹
// Kramer: I first started watching you because I'm a beginner in archery and your channel provided the most information in the shortest amount of time. You are also easy to watch. What I mean is your enthusiasm shows and I get caught up in what you are doing. Especially your mental processioning of a problem. I'm right there with you as you figure things out. I also like following your path as you wind your way through life's paths. I now understand variations in bows and those things that effect performance. Keep doing what you do, I will sign up to follow your journey. from a loyal subscriber, Ron M. Mt. Vernon, WA
Done thought you were selling out, I was like 'what the heck, bro!' But then your brother's name slipped out and I knew what you were up to, and I think that's a mighty fine decision - to keep the company in the family as it should be. Looking forward to what YOU accomplish, as I look forward to what your brother does moving forward with the company. Stay Shatterproof, Ammons family.
Kramer, I think it is so awesome that you have done the deep thinking and coming to this conclusion. Congratulations on your successes and I am rooting for your continued success, and the continued success of shatterproof. Great work!
a lot of this "how the sausage is made" stuff is a sensitive subject for many people and many don't openly talk about it. it is often the kind of stuff that ruins friendships and other relationships thank you so much for sharing this insight. I'm in a similar boat myself, except maybe in your 2019 or 2020 years so just trying to figure out where I want to take it from here if someone is passionate about something, there are many layers that have to be put down, like actually recording you doing the stuff you enjoy without the recording part getting in the way, editing, promotion , and then if it actually starts making money, all the business management and accounting stuff which is a whole other can of worms. and that's on top of family time and making sure the cars are funning and the lights stay on I would actually love to see you go into some of the behind the scenes stuff more, I'm very much interested in the media production aspect of it myself (although not nearly as much as I love to watch you geek out over bows)
Note Bravo, Sir.! Wow, I thought I liked you before, but now? 👌🏽 As a fellow creative I identify with your sentiments. Love the logic behind the line of questioning that you shared. What a great way to look at things! Not assuming your life philosophy or anything but i just feel that you made the wisest move. I mean there are good ideas and then there are God ideas. Glad you are at peace with your decision and your next steps. I appreciate that you made this video because your transparency really ministered to me about my own goals. I’m happy for you, your brother and both of your families!
Thank you for all you done to help others. I watched your videos on making bow strings. I am now making my own. Your bow tillering videos helped me on making my own. bow. Enjoy brother, your brother will be awsome too.
Congratulations to you both! Kudos for recognizing where your passions lie and having to courage to make hard choices and pursue them while you are young.
Best of luck to You, Kas and Shatterproof! Good for you for stepping out and following your dreams, and making priorities of your family and your passions.
Good for you man, I remember that video you showed of you opening the new workshop, it may have been from a later video, and then I looked back in your posted video timeline. Regardless, I'm happy for you and your brother going forward, sounds like you made two dreams come true.
Congrats Kaz, I've been a customer for a long time and that isn't going to change anytime soon. Would love to see a video of a deep dive into making glass bow glue up forms.
Kramer I have been subscribed since the first video I watched. You describing the how and why you sold shatterproof is full of great advice for life. I'm 54 yrs old and you truly cleared up how to prioritize what is most important in life. You are wise and honorable. Thank you. Is the black hunter the best budget bow on the market?
Good luck and congratulations to both of you!!! Enjoy your bright futures. Kaz has made my new journey into Trad archery a lot more enjoyable and has made me from making some expensive “rookie” purchases!!! May God bless both of your fellas endeavors!!!
I wish you and Kaz the best of luck in your goals. I'll be looking to purchase a Black Hunter and some accessories in 2025. Too much snow on the ground and too cold to shoot in the backyard now anyway here in Numb Jersey. Merry Christmas & Happy New year!
no offense but win ive called to order caz is the one who answered and made me feel like family , in my mind he is the best part of the purchasing experience, and its great that it stayed in the family , congrats caz
Wow, I was one of your early subs. Got really into archery during COVID. Always loved your channel but probably haven't seen a video since 2022. I loved your series on the cheap amazon bows. lol Glad things are working out for you though! Your channel is huge now! Congrats and God bless!
That’s awesome for the both of you. You and your brother make great products. Congrats on the new business Kaz. And can’t wait to see these banger vids.
I started watching your video's before I got into archery. I like your energy. Now I am a full archery addict and I am on the shooting rwnge 3 - 4 times per week.
I am bummed that you're saying goodbye to the business, but I'm super happy for you and your future. Best of luck with your next steps and best of luck to Kaz!!
Congrats to the both if you!!! Kaz has always been good to me, and I have learned a lot from you and always enjoy your videos (AS LONG AS THEY ARENT AI😜).
This is a pro move. Spend your time doing the things you love and are therefore better/more efficient at. Get somebody else to do the stuff you find tedious/unpleasant.
I’m looking to get a better recurve bow. I bout a cheep $80 one last year and loved it. I am looking to get a better one for hunting. I would not like to spend too much over $400. Any suggestions???
Just wanting to let you know, the link you have to the shatterproof archery website cuts off at the question mark. You might want to check into that. Also, congrats on the new situation! Glad to see things working out. You and this channel got me into bow building.

Sweet move, you & Kaz are brothers, how cool is that. I'll be needing a few more strings soon.
Godspeed to all involved,

Kramer it sounds like you gave it a lot of thought and I believe you made the right move. I wish your brother the best and I wish you the best.
Glad to see you take hold of your own plan and follow through, you’re the reason I even shoot trad so I’m backing it all 100%

The two happiest days in a business owners life... Number two, the day he opens. Number one, the day he sells.

To say you guys were an inspiration is an understatement
Good job chaps
You should make bows, I reckon you'd be pretty OK at it.
Good for you! The basis for your decision is SPOT ON !
Wow, I was one of your early subs. Got really into archery during COVID. Always loved your channel but probably haven't seen a video since 2022. I loved your series on the cheap amazon bows. lol Glad things are working out for you though! Your channel is huge now! Congrats and God bless!

Everything makes perfect sense and I couldn't imagine anyone other than Kaz as the new owner.
Congratulations to both you and Kaz. Good luck on you future endeavors.
Glad you kept it in the family!
Would be neat if Shatterproof Archery made affordable fixed blade broadheads!
Congratulations! Stoked for you. I watch you all the time and you have really helped with my archery game
I am bummed that you're saying goodbye to the business, but I'm super happy for you and your future. Best of luck with your next steps and best of luck to Kaz!!
I wish you guys the best.
Good luck to y'all. Going to get a new string now.

Congrats to the both if you!!! Kaz has always been good to me, and I have learned a lot from you and always enjoy your videos (AS LONG AS THEY ARENT AI😜).
Having interacted with Kaz, I have complete confidence that he represents a company that deserves your business.
Wish you and your brother the best for your individual paths. Not all who wander are lost.
Best wishes as you move on in what you excel at!
Let Kaz know I'll be calling soon to place a order. was going to yesterday but got to busy doing things and forgot.
Good Luck and continued success to Shatterproof Archery and Kramer Productions. I will continue to be a customer viewing and buying. Thanks
Good for you. Love your bow reviews. See ya when I see ya.
Congratulations 🎉
I fully understand what you mean by the emotional drain of running a business. I'm a craftsman and all I want to do is create.
This is a pro move. Spend your time doing the things you love and are therefore better/more efficient at. Get somebody else to do the stuff you find tedious/unpleasant.
Im happy its kept in the family.
Wow! This is super exciting! I’m very happy for both of you! Stay shatterproof! 🏹🏹🏹
what a great call! brave of you as well! i think its a good call and hope it brings you the most joy in life (and it looks like it does :D )
Best of luck to you both!
Artistic brain versus business brain. It's almost like algebra brain versus geometry brain.
I fully understand your decision. Congrats to Kaz also. Question, was the bow you were shooting one of your Mountain bows? It was pretty.
Good to know Shatterproof is in good hands.
Do a bowfishing build and hunt
good luck thank you for sharing
love your products and rooting for small business success
Big respect!
The marketing is important to keep the orders for the awesome bowstrings, quivers, bows etc going.
Great move for the best reasons. Congratulations to you both!
Question: how did you hang the bows vertically in the office? Beautiful, simple, and functional!
When I first read the title, I was shocked and disappointed.
But..
Now I know that it'll still be in the family.. Super Stoked.
One day.. as soon as finances allow, I WILL own one of your beautiful bows.
Waiting to see you out bow fishing ... 😁
You need to expand the media outlets. example- start a rumble channel, FB, twitch, .... You don't have to make more videos for each platform. You're just putting your videos on all platforms. 1% more effort will get you 400% more viewer possibility. It's kind of a no brainer.
Familia❤ happy hunting, stay frosty in strange days ❤
Hasta la vista baby !
MUCH SUCCESS!
Good on you buddy
So are the bows going to be the same?
but i do super respect that your trying to spend more time w family ,cant put a price on that
