I couldn't believe my ears when I listened to this interview, Adam Boulton was so rude with his questioning I'm surprised Conrad Black stayed for the interview.
"I don't answer questions like that, I think that's vulgar- its not bad to ask it but it'd be vulgar to answer it". wow. now that's a classy reply if ever there was one. had never heard of this guy until now but somehow, I like him.
Black is like a character out of a Truman Capote or Faulkner novel. His combative ferocity,backed with lethal sarcasm, is a joy to watch, and is almost theatrical, and quite comedic, and persuasively forensic.
I had a very interesting meeting with Conrad and his wife Barbara (who I knew prior to her marrying Conrad) back in the mid nineties. It was a chance meeting, which ended up with us having dinner. They are both extremely intelligent, generous with their time and very entertaining. And whilst Conrad was born into a very wealthy and privileged family, which I wasn't, did not in any way affect the graciousness in which he spoke to me. He's a remarkable man.
Poor Adam, out of his depth again, making a fool of himself trying to embarrass a very clever man. Funny that he works for the Australian now American anti British Mr Murdock.
I love Conrad! He spent more on lawyers and quite frankly has more men and women willing to give him a dollar than this Adam Boulton character will make in his entire life. Conrad quite frankly answering some of those prejudicial questions is ridiculous but I will for sure read his book at some point in time.

The injustices of the American legal system have nothing to do with someone who's capable of spending 31million on a legal defense. It's ignorance on his part to lump himself in with the majority of convicts in America who lack the means to mount a proper defense, and/or were subjugated to perversions of the criminal penal system. The investigation into Black took years! compare that to some black kid in new york convicted of minor drug possession on a random Stop and Frisk.
