besides his speedrunning potential, the adventure sonic is actually really good for platforming and over-all movement with his slower air-speed, spindash control, and the thing he does where he stops at ledges. he feels really nice to play when all the other characters feel abit too loose and slippery
He's the most all round and easiest character mod in the game the he's great for clearing up large amount enemies, he has one of the best platforming capabilities, and he can reach places far way easily i say this guy is overpowered, top tier.
I love the groove the music has. It fits the 2D pixel art style, emphasizes both the lava cave and outdoor environments well, and makes you want to stay active even when the level asks you to slow down which works because the level usually has some way to let you do that even when you're not "supposed to". 👌
Try using the air dash to cancel the bounce, you can use it as a fastfalling method its really handy (its a trick also present in the original Sonic Adventure 2 game), you can also do a more powerful hairdash (wich doesnt have a homming feature) by pressing the action button (spin) JUST after the air dash, it has tight timing but its not too hard to get used to, its also present in the adventure games (homming attack cancel), be careful tho, in srb2 the normal air dash doesnt reset your momentum, but the homming attack cancel does, so in certain sections (like after getting launched from those spinng circle rods in castle eggman) its best to stick with the simple airdash

There's no reason why Adventure Sonic should move significantly slower than MARIO of all characters. well in adventure 1 there was janky slopes and (usually) enclosed levels that are surrounded with bottomless pits this level is a lot more open, designed for fast character ( just check out VANILLA sonic, his thok is broken )

just press custom3 with a whirlwind shield and you can just detonate the shield, it gives you a lot of height. However it removes your shield in the process.
He really isn't broken he is honestly quite balanced like most good mod Character's and even if a Character is broken it is just fun I hate the people that try and gatekeep shit I've seen so many people in the SRB2 community do that shit man I saw someone ask how you can edit the sprite's cause the person wanted to make a small edit to Sonics sprite's for their own use and so many people instantly act like dick head's about it I love the Game and the mod's for it but my god the community can be terrible sometimes
