They announced last summer that they have a 10 in 12 DLC coming for the next year (3 content drops are already out i think) the game had a hyper mode event last September, a Spider Crane event earlier this year (infinite grapple hook use and no fall damage)
a Christmas Sharing is Caring Event where you hunt fown elf zombies for candy with special effects and unlocking new outfits and a weapon blueprint and last we had a Valentine's Day event which playing missions with friends got you the Valentine's crossbow and Roses paintjob for the buggy.

I think they just got a random fortnite player to play this and just told him the controls and that it was a battle royale game. I mean. I have never seen ANYONE be so damn timid with a Goon, because I mean, those guys were the first slightly more threatening enemy you even encountered in the game. IGN added the battle royal part, the game is just called dying light: bad blood.
I think that they should just give the bad blood as a dlc for the people who have put in the effort to finis the main campaign, not as a new game
