I do something similar in my studio. I use my sub out for one pair of monitors and the main to another set of monitors. I mono it in my daw. So you could also use your technic and send it to a third set of speakers.
@@KanzeNYC absolutely! I use my sub for my main speakers and I use my mains to loop into a stream setup. So effectively I'm using the 3 like you said! It works great!
Hello, I have seen people talking about sending the ableton signal back into the Tascam, I’m wondering if anybody can give me a short explanation of how that works. I just picked the model 12 up mostly for in studio use and I’m a bit in the dark when it comes to its functionality in this setting. Thanks
Hi, just a question concerning the tascam model 12, so I was just wondering if the output sound from the DAW when engaging daw control mode/audio interface mode can also be heard when you connect them to FOH speakers, Subwoofers in a church setting? Thank you for clarifying and advice.
Great question! Okay to clarify... it is always a multitasking audio interface. You do not have to enable that. The only thing you have to enable is daw control mode which then changes the transport buttons and the faders to control your DAW and not the mixer levels. Speaker outputs always are outputs. So depending on what you're trying to accomplish, you may not need it in daw control mode. For example, if you're recording a service and wanting to multitrack in your band, you can set up the inputs on each track in your daw to correspond to each channel coming into the M12. Then if this is your FOH board, you can use the M12 just as you would with any other mixer to mix the house speakers. The tracks in the daw would get recorded pre-fader and you can then mix those tracks after the fact. No daw control needed. Does that make sense? Does that answer your question? Happy to help!
@@knowledge25k double check that the monitors are correctly routed in your daw. Also if you have them returning to a track on the model 12 double check that you have the channel input set to "PC" on the switch at the top of the strip. Hope that helps!
@@GlennThomasTech I just purchased it from a pawn shop there are no issues but I just want to start fresh initialize only deletes internal memory and I believe wipes sd card

Thank you so much. I had my monitor connected into my Sub output. I connected it to the main output, and it work
Great! Glad you got it sorted out. Happy creating!
I dont have this mixer yet. The PDF will come in handy though. Cheers

I can route AUX1 through the headphone channel but I can't get AUX2. Any ideas?

Not my question but was helpful to read. Thanks
@@mmhcreates glad it was helpful! Such a great little board! It's perfect for band multitracking! Live while used as a FOH board.
Hi, why can I hear anything from my studio monitor in DAW mode?

do you know how to hard reset the model 12?
Off the top of my head I do not. I haven't ever had a need to do a reset on it. What problem is yours having?

Yes. Initialize is the card I believe. You could reinstall/update the firmware. That would effectively be the same thing as a reset.
@@GlennThomasTech I’m going to look into thanks nice vid by the way
