    A very interesting video.
I intend to make a ring with the same characteristics. I have the gold, I have how to melt it, and I have a machine for cold deformation with rollers.
My problem is that I don't have rollers with fixed profiles, only simple parallel rollers.
Is there any way to adjust the thickness? (I wish 7x1.5 mm)
    Thank you.

There would be two options one better than the other. The most problematic option would be to heat and Hammer repeatedly to get close to those numbers but during the filing process you will lose a lot of precious metal. The ideal way without rolling it would be to make a wax model by hand with those numbers exactly and then cast. I suggest buying a traditional Rolling Mill they have some very inexpensive ones for beginners, I hope this helps

For this project the customer had 13.8 grams. Now if I'm going to make them for resale I always start with 22g to make two bands because any excess I can always use for other projects better have enough so you don't need in the middle of the project

What is the thing called that you poured the melted gold into to make the shank?

That is an ingot mold bar. You can find these at Rio Grande jewelry supply or on eBay. Thanks for the question.

      How wide should it be?

    • @jeweleralmighty8354

@@kentonmoore7862 there are many different sizes there's also a two piece ingot mold block that you can sides to whatever size you like. They're not expensive and easy to find

Also the size you use should reflect the project you have for instance if you're going to make a 6 mm band you will start with something close to that preferably 1 mm smaller because once you start rolling it'll widen up hope this helps
