    Australia is such a nanny state that likes to restrict anything you want to do. I have such a hard time doing any hobbies as there is red tape around them and barriers to trying to make a bit of money off your hobbies too.
    I am sad you are being shutbdown but appreciate you to fight the good fight for the sake of other aquaponic owners.
    People are more concerned with over governing than letting people enjoy life

    I also learned in Australia that sometimes the law is too complicated for the authorities....
    In Europe you can find a compromise with most authorities if there are any questionable problems.
    I wish you very much better times back in France.
    Here in the black forest in Germany is breeding time now, an we already have the little fish. Due to high water i hope the little wild trout will make it well in our little streams.

    the basis of the code is to protect others (kids, pets) that may wander into your yard and get into that body of water. In parts of the US, if its an above ground pool and there is no stairs or the stairs can be moved away - you don't need a fence.

    Hey, I’ve been wanting to start to grow trout outside and raise them, but I live in Texas where it gets pretty hot so do you know ways to keep the pond cold year round?

  • @chairmannow2297
    @chairmannow2297 11 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

    Man I really want some Goldens (and maybe some Brooks) up in NSW for my farm dams but no one seems to have them anywhere here. I'd literally have some shipped from Vic if I knew who had some and was willing to ship. But no one wants to help with that it seems. All I can get is stock standard Rainbows from a handful of suppliers.

    • @AquaponicsRevolution
      @AquaponicsRevolution  11 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      shipping trout is always tricky... you might have better chance with eyed eggs as they travel much better. But you still need to find someone wanting to bother doing it. Much easier to offer them to pick from home. Good luck mate :)

    • @chairmannow2297
      @chairmannow2297 11 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@AquaponicsRevolution Thanks for your input. Yeah I definitely get that having done it for several years now. Although my rainbows come from 500km away and always take a good overnight courier trip and then some hours to arrive. So getting fingerings from Vic is not consequentially any more transport time. I definitely can't see a way to deal with eggs, especially as I don't live on my farm full time or know anyone in the area who could (a local trout farm went broke years ago thanks to mismanagement). I just want to be able to stock my various waters with some extra trout varieties. Anyway I'll keep an eye for places who do breed more widely than just rainbows and speak to them. I know the guys in Macclesfield do for example.

    Hi! following...
    i've had a pond with carp in it unfortunately the water source became les over the years. Now im trying to build a solar powered system that keeps the water moving airates and filtrates it. Is aquaponics the right choice for me or is there a more efficient system for filtering my water to replace new freshwater. Plants are not the priority at all and could potentialy be left out.

    Renting with want hobbies or exotics is ultimately problematic. I had many bonsai buried outdoors to overwinter them. It was very apparent what they were and I even added blaze orange and yellow ribbons in their tops a d trunks for extra safety. The landlord didn’t like any expression of happiness or joy so while i was at work they used a dull blade in a weed eater and chopped them all to pieces. Many decades of my time. One was inherited and easily over 100yrs of age…I spent a long time on my knees just sobbing! That was the last place I rented. Swore I’d never be under another persons asinine ‘rules’ or inspections again even if I had to live in a tent or RV vehicle I can’t have hobbies and rent. :(. Check the HOA where you land they can be just as bad and often even worse.

    Australia has been a better place for us as a family than France. But may well end up back there at least for a third of the time, for the wife it's mostly about family for me its the food I miss.

    • @AquaponicsRevolution
      @AquaponicsRevolution  11 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Family ties often lead us to where our roots are, while the heart sometimes yearns for the flavors and comforts of familiar cuisines. Whether in Australia, France, finding that balance between family and personal joys is what matters most. Let's keep sustainability in mind though as one trip Melbourne France is 5.6T CO2. Hence I decided to never fly again and try to minimise my impact. Wishing you and your family all the best, wherever your journey takes you!

    I would have just enclosed it with a polycarbonate sheet and frame cover, so no one could enter it.
    Then it's not a pool, its a water storage tank!

    I think the issue is not the swimming pond but the fact that you are breeding fish in it and fish you can eat and is meat and we all know that they want ban all real meat to the populations .

    Hi I have been doing Aquaponics 4years now
    I live in Los Angeles and these raccoons keep eating my Channrl catfish Koi gold fish
    I had many 2ft catfish now all fish have been ate up by the raccoons 🦝 there very intelligent animals I had a cage around my IBC totes and they kept finding a way inside with there little hands that are strong
    Crazy raccoons
    Now I am completely covered the IBC.
    With wood also a I bc tote cover
    I made a lot of fish emulsion so the big fish weren’t wasted
    I’m so sad And mad at these raccoons
    How do you deal with this in your pond
    ???

    • @AquaponicsRevolution
      @AquaponicsRevolution  8 หลายเดือนก่อน +1
