Her vocals have improved so much!! when i first found pale waves i went and watched some live footage and wasn't very impressed. watching her progress has been amazing.
I do believe she has always had the vocals, but performing live vs. performing alone is a whole different feat to ask of. Some people can pull off their vocals exactly like in studio (Radiohead, The Cure, The Smiths etc.) but others sometimes need a little bit of confidence and self reassurance to replicate their studio takes on the spot. I truly believe she’s always been an amazing singer, just needs to be weathered a bit more under pressure to feel comfortable in that setting and be able to do this every single time.
If this is improvement, I’m concerned. This is honestly quite bad and her technique is gonna wreck her voice.

how have her vocals improved>? i've seen her live in person...she's amazing..and their production is so clean..it's very obvious the band practices a lot...she's very professional.
I remember seeing Pale Waves open for The 1975 before anyone knew who they were. Absolute legends!
My dream concert line up would be Pale Waves opening up, then Muna and then the 1975. I'd swoon.
I had the privilege to see them twice, once with The 1975 at Madison and their tour in the city! truly magical!!!

I can't wait for live performances to be possible again. Saw Pale Waves live on their first tour and they were amazing, but Heather sounds like shes progressed so much and I'm really looking forward to hearing her in person again.

Go ahead and play along. Put your pinkie and ring on string 1 and string 2 both at fret 3 and keep them there for the whole song. Or just your pinkie if your hands allow it in order to free up the ring finger.
Index goes on fret 2 of string 5 to start with. Middle goes on fret 3 of string 6.
When you transition to index on fret 2 of string 4 with middle on fret 3 of string 5, don't forget to squeeze your thumb a bit onto fret 2 of string 6 the way she does to raise its tone and mute it a bit. When your index and middle go onto fret 2 of strings 4 and 5 in whatever manner you prefer, don't try to hold the thumb there anymore, then comes putting either thumb or index back onto fret 2 of string 6 with middle or index on fret 2 of string 3.
Those are the positions. You just have to figure out when to throw them in now.
