Went to Aldi's this morning for 2 things...bread and chocolate wine. The wine finished up my Christmas shopping. My mom loves it and it will be a gift from my cat. They needed to stock shelves badly, guess the week end wiped them out. Enjoy your holiday
I bought the birria and threw it in my crockpot last week. My son absolutely loved it but it was just a bit spicy for me. I am sensitive to “spicy” things. I see you purchase spicy food for your family so it will probably be a hit for you. Love your videos!
I bought a box of those peppermint chocolate cream cookies and went back the next day for six more boxes. They are so good and remind me of something I ate in my childhood.
Happy Thanksgiving! Have. Wonderful Family Celebration! I’m going to Sam’s Club tomorrow morning. I’m sure it will be crazy! I did a Kroger pick up order on Sunday and they were out of many Thanksgiving items. I’m sure if I would have gone in the store they would have been on the shelf. This happens frequently with normal staple type items. It’s very confusing.
Well I'd at least get enough for 30 kids. Usually parents send snacks of 25-30 individual. Or if bags to portion them also a bag of coffee liners - or tiny cups to do portion sizes. We always find schools do donation weeks near Easter, Christmas, Thanksgiving. For classrooms, gallon ziplock backpack wknd- holiday meals, or meals for kids with food bank ties or a school food bank usually at preteen- high-school aged for sports, etc. So we make sure our local schools at a grandparents they have bags of shelf stable meals- backpack program, treats teachers ask for usually 4 sets of 2 types so 50 portions×4 And the shelter we divide exactly what a family makes in a week, rice meal, Mac meal, pasta meal, soup, stew, potato meal, shelf stable veg & fruit & breakfast meal. Each in gallon zip locks x 2 weeks worth and assorted drink pouches . It's tiny things of giving that go to real kids, real issues real friends of our grandkids. It really matters during these long stretches where kids may not be cared for. We are glad to set that giving into our budget. We would like to see some of your giving. Not as frugal. We are often viewers thst don't care about frual...but we care about donations. Alot of kid clubs, church groups also do donations during these time-frame we would love to see your charity side of your family. As you move up thru you tune. Giving back strikes every family as you get so many comments of do you care? I know you do. A giving heart.
I’m sure that you do this when you are not holding a camera in one hand, but - regarding the Brioche bread, whenever there is a stack of trays of a product (bread, buns, etc.), I always check the expiration date in the tray at the very bottom of the stack. While it is not always the case, the expiration date in the tray at the bottom of the stack is usually further out then the expiration date in the tray on the top of the stack. 🙂
