I decided to have my cable subscription cancelled last year because of poor Customer Service. We've been out of service for over a month but nobody was providing any assistance despite the multiple requests and follow throughs. It wasn't right considering that they continued charging me for the service which I wasn't enjoying. That's why although I was a bit half-hearted, I finally called it quits.
Luckily, there are Android TV Boxes available online which can turn my regular TV into a Smart one and allow me to watch shows and movies even without paying for monthly subscription. I bought this MXQ Pro 5G 4K Ultra HD because of the positive reviews, not to mention that it's affordable.
In this video, I shared the simple steps on how I set it up and also featured some of the channels and functions that I am now enjoying for free because of this.

Hello! I just went to their website using yung Chrome sa box and you may download the app from there. You may also search a tutorial on TH-cam for the step-by-step. There's no fee or subscription requirement.

Hello! To be honest, I'm not 100% sure but it most likely just follows the resolution of your HDTV. Haven't really explored the options, though, but I believe there's an option for other reso.

Hello! If you were asking if Netflix app came in for free --- yes. However, you have to sign up and subscribe in order to watch films. All of the apps I added I was able to download free of charge.

NO! The box I have does not have 5GHz WiFi. It is simply a lie. Mine also claims to have 128GB rom but it's actually only 8GB. The supposed 11.1 Android on my box is also fake. In fact it has Android 7.1.2 so far as I can tell. Basically, these boxes are fake.

Hello! It can work but it would have its optimum performance if you would use a dedicated wifi connection to ensure a stable network.

Hello! Yes po, we're still using it till now. Medyo nagkaproblem na dahil madalas paglaruan ng preschooler ko pero functio al pa rin naman. Yung lagging po ang na eexperience ko pero dahil sa problematic wifi connection hehe.

Hello! There's an SD/MMC Port available on the box so I would assume you could. I haven't tried using it, though.

Hello! It says that the max resolution it could support is 4k * 2k although I haven't tried that since I was using a rather older model of TV (non-Smart).

Hello po! Yes po tumagal naman kasi hanggang ngayon gamit pa rin namin everyday. Madalas nga lang mapaglaruan ng anak kong 3 years old kaya medyo nagka problem na hehe pero usable pa rin dahil everyday we use it for TH-cam and iFlix.

Pre-downloaded po ung Netflix app sa box, however, you'd need to sign-up and subscribe in order to watch.

Olá! Você pode controlar o volume na TV e na caixa do Android. Você pode tentar ajustar o volume usando o controle remoto da caixa Android e ver se funciona.
Anu wifi speed requirement kya nyan TV box? Ilan speed ng WIFI plan nyo? Baka kasi pwede 5mbps. Salamat. BTW, Ganyan din rason ko kung bakit gusto ko magka MXQ box na lng at pa cancel Skycable. Titigas ng mukha ma late ka lng ng 1 day ay mawawala na signal ng cable.

We experience yung nagla-lag minsan especially when I'm also using the connection to have my conference calls. But I think it's because that's already a stretch to the bandwidth so naturally it would happen.

Hello! Is that the Blue screen that you see on the Home Page? If yes, I don't know if that could be adjusted through the Android box (didn't have the need to do it kasi okay lang naman po sa end ko). However, you might want to try adjusting using the controls of your TV mismo.

Hello! I actually don't have a link because the Netflix app came with the box when I purchased it so I didn't need to download it. But perhaps you can try downloading it from the app store while using the box.
If only could directly dw from play store unfortunately netflix not available in my android box :(

Hello! Never ko pa pong na-experience yung nag turn-off nang kusa. Lagging issue lang po na-experience ko pag mahina yung net connection. If that happens po nang madalas, I suggest you contact the point of sale kasi po baka defective yung item.

Hello! I think I've experienced din yung "no sound". Usual remedy po is gamitin yung volume control sa remote ng Android box mismo (instead yung volume control sa remote ng TV). You may give it a try po kasi that's my usual fix. If di po talaga gumana, I suggest you reach out to the store and ask for help din po.
I bought one of these boxes. The eBay advert claimed 128GB rom & 8GB ram 5gHz WiFi & Android 11.1
In fact the rom is only 8GB, there is NO 5GHz WiFi and the Android is faked to look like 11.1 when it is only 7.1.2 (if that). Do not buy these.

Hello! Yes, still working and we're using it everyday. The performance depends on the strength of the wifi connection. We experience lagging when the connectivity is intermittent.

Hello! I haven't checked po pero if the app is available sa Playstore, you would also be able to download it sa MXQ Pro through the Playstore din. You just need to access Playstore when you are using this Android box.

Hello! Are you using the same box? If there's no sound coming out of the TV, try to adjust the volume using the remote control of the Android box (not the TV remote).
