Mate , you are so lucky to have Romaine the magician work on your dynotune. That Graph is a beautiful linear power curve. ive seen many a k20 with peaks and troughs and luls in the curve. You have a dynamic and greatly achieved HP figure. 255 is an excellent outcome. enjoy man.
Absolutely love watching your vids mate! I’ve just started on the Ep3 scene and currently building a hillclimb car, your vid’s have been very helpful! Keep up the great content 🤙🏼
@@OllyRoss Just thought I'd give you an update since I have a similar setup (+ a 70mm throttle body). I had my ep3 mapped by Romain and it made 266bhp!
For me, it’s a good middle ground! Not hunting total power output in every area. I still have the standard throttle body too. If I do a K24 frank in the future then I would switch it up. I love the carbon too so it’s worth it for me.

@@joshwattonS2000 Exactly, 3 or 3.5 with velocity stack no filter, running straight down instead of back by the header. It's a noticeable difference. Look up the Hybrid Racing cold air intake.

I think when the engine has cams and lots of mods, it probably needs a more custom tune than they can offer I think they mostly do stock/bolt on cars, rather than cars with manifolds and cams etc
@@quest8795 I know for a fact that that isn’t true 🤷🏽♂️ they map loads of cars with cams and intake manifolds, they do loads of turbo and supercharger conversions too
Thank you heaps for putting up all the dyno graph info and digging into how the numbers work out - i now have something to compare against my jdm ep3 with its bits - thank you :) I feel a lot happier about mine now :)
Thanks man! Glad you enjoyed. They are only marginally better in some areas compared to the Skunk2. However, they are far more expensive. For me, it wasn’t worth another £400-500 on top of the Skunk2 cam cost
Olly, with the new cams and the VTEC limit moved back up, how do you find that? Would that put you off installing the cams again? I'm currently on stock cams and like the VTEC a bit lower. Love to know what you think, cheers 👍
I don't really mind it moved back up because of how smooth it is now. It is still lower than standard though. I don't really feel the "kick" anymore anyway. It just feels so effortless now
Tune and Dyno Hire was £630. This is mapped on a Hondavert ECU board. Im not too sure whether it can be used with the F series engine but their website says it is possible. The Sierra with the Turbo S2000 engine at the end of this video was mapped using a Haltech 1500 Standalone ECU
How big is the exit of the header? I've got almost the same parts. Got a Tegiwa header customised to 3 inch exit and a Solid Fab 3 inch catback. Thinking of changing it to the same exhaust as yours. How is the noise at highway speed? Mine got 255hp to with Dragcartel drop in cams. Great car and great youtube channel. Tnx for making this clips :) Greetz from Holland!
The exit is a 3” to meet up to the solid fab cat back. It’s probably not going to make much difference to your numbers. There is a chance you could loose a couple peak horsepower with the big bore manifold but could gain some torque. Personally, I don’t think it’s worth changing from your current set up. The manifold probably won’t make too much of a difference to your volume either. This set up is way quieter than my previous one!
@@OllyRoss That is a bit odd, i would think 255 at wheels with your set up, and by looking at that nice torque curve and number. I made 205 at wheel with cheap intake and cheap 2.5 in exhaust, in hot weather.
every dyno reads different. This car on another dyno could show over 205 at the wheels. A dyno is of value when you use the SAME one to reference progression of additional mods (and each gain) over time.
I don't know if it varies based on where you are but I paid for Romain separately from the hire of the dyno. £350 of Romain's services and £280 for the dyno hire (I was only 1 of 3 cars on the day)
What an epic car and top bloke! Loving the videos Olly

Thank god you went to a good tuner rather than say Dynotwats.
Spray contact adhesive on slowly spinning warm tires, wait a minute or two and the wheel spin will be gone.
We tried that too. It wasn't enough on this occasion. It is all sorted now, there is another video on the channel of it on the dyno again

What oil are you running?
What sort of price did you pay for the map? Can romain supply the ecu too?
I paid £350 for the map I think and £280 for the dyno hire. He can’t supply the Hondavert but I do think he can supply the Kpro
What power is it making, before cams?
With the previous map it was making 221hp peak power
are you still running hondavert ecu? did dynodaze not lock your ecu off?
They only lock the map they put on it, you can upload a new map but can't amend the one that they have uploaded
Tuner protection doesn’t lock Ecu out
I have the Hondavert ECU still and Romain has replaced the Dynodaze map with this one. 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
