I’m assuming that the remote also steers it? Pretty cool I’m heading to Florida I’m moving down there first thing I’m going to get us a kayak to do some Fishing is nothing but water and fish down there
Do you have a video on how to install a transducer and fish finder using the mount on the bottom? I have the same kayak and can't find anything on installation for these. Appreciate the video and stay safe.
Nice kayak ! Have the same one . I Fish for big catfish . I redone the track system to a upgraded yakattack hd that has to the backer plates for the big catfish take downs , catfish can pull pretty hard. Good video. Good luck on water in the alsome kayak.
always use stainless steel hardware. before its to late replace the bolts holding your trolling motor mount down. ascend did not read the instructions on the quick mount install, they installed the 6 bolt retainers to bolt down the mount that goes on the trolling motor. (backwards) i like the procedure you used but i would for sure change the bolts. I just got the same kayak and will be mounting my quick connect tomorrow.
The kayak came with two ropes. One is supposed to connect to the foot petal and screw don the side of the kayak back towards the the seat. The other rope ties around the shaft so you can guide it down and pull it up. I have not installed them yet but will be making a video. Right now I just walk up to the front and press the pedal and guide it down.
ACliff Fishing awesome! I’m going to be using the same motor on my 133x and just needed a way to figure out a system for the deploy/stow since minn kota’s don’t really work for it.
This kayak is designed for a bow mounted trolling motor. You can put on on the back but the tolling motor power plug is in the front so it makes it super easy to install and no wiring.
@@fullporaport there is a yak power plug in the back of the so you can run a motor of that but then you will need to plug your battery into the yak power system in the compartment. The reason I run the bow mount is bc the battery port, where I have the battery, runs to the front port and I don’t have to use the yak power system. This saves the back port for either a power pole or light etc.
@@aclifffishing I got the 128x because that’s the biggest kayak I could find. It’s a step down from the 133x. It’s only got the Yak Power system but they didn’t wire it for a trolling motor at all. They mark out where to drill up by the bow but they neglected to build any kind of bow trolling motor mount. The stern has the same mount as the 133x but you have to wire it up yourself. I noticed that they have places to drill, run tubing and then run lines through the tubes to the foot pedals. It’s set up for a rudder or a trolling motor back there but you have to do all the work.
Hey where did you scoop this yak from? Looking to get one myself and I’ve been on the search maybe you could help a fellow angler out narrow down the source. Also looking forward to the mods and fishing videos you’re about to post with this machine.
I got a 128x at cabelas last month. It’s not quite as nice as the 133x but it’s what I could get and it’s definitely better than my Lifetime Tamarack Angler 100. That’s not a bad little kayak but I’m too big for it to safely fish from. The Tamarack has potential for my wife. She only weighs 135 lbs. I’m 210. The Tamarack has a capacity of 275. My 128x from Ascend has a 450 lbs capacity. Now I can fish!

@@norcalbass. I’m sure that motor is fine but I’m not hurting for space on this kayak and the 45lb thrust is enough for me so I didn’t see a reason to spend the extra money.
I Guess your previous Trolley motor was a Minn Kota...!!! Nice video. Simple and clear.
Nice installation. Nicely explained as well. Thanks!
Thanks!
Cool! Very helpful tips, keep it up!
Thanks for the support. Will do.

have you had problems with them plugs filling with water in the rain especially the rear one and I'm worry that might mess up my xi3
I have not had any issues with the plugs. I have left this kayak in the rain and the plugs did get wet.

How do you drop or pick up motor while on the water?
Dope video
Thanks!
What wheel cart are you using
Minn kota?😂
How do you deploy the motor when out on the water?

Why did you mounted it at the front instead of the back ?

Do you have a kayak cart?
I'm in the process of making one. I'll be making a video on that very soon.
@@aclifffishing Sweet, I'll keep an eye out for that!
Have you mounted a transducer to the mount below the hull? If so, do you have a video on how you did it? Thanks.
I have not. I well make a video when I do.
Bought the same yak and trolling motor. What's the brand of the quick release bracket? Link?? Thanks in advance!

How do you clear grass from the prop?
It’s a pain but you have to pull the motor all the way up and walk to the front of the yak at pull the grass out.
Thanks....that’s what I was afraid of...great videos, thank you for sharing

What’s the length of that shaft? I’m looking into the 48”

What is the shaft length on that ix3?
