Gordon does give you the chance, and tries to drive you on, if he sees potential. He reminds me of one of my old martial arts instructors. He was just like that, and once out of class the tough attitude was gone. I got admonished sometimes in front of the other students, but it worked for me. It helped me get past things that were holding me back, and helped me be able to handle tough situations etc in life. Just like Gordon he wasn't perfect. He would sometimes overstep the mark, but he meant well, and despite having many more instructors over the years he will always be my best. All his other students say the same.

Whenever they show footage of the customers being impatient or complaining about the wait time, I always wonder why they bothered to show up. I would think the appeal of eating at Hell's Kitchen is more about watching Gordan yell at people and less about actually eating.

Whenever they show footage of the customers being impatient or complaining about the wait time, I always wonder why they bothered to show up. I would think the appeal of eating at Hell's Kitchen is more about watching Gordan yell at people and less about actually eating.
Exactly. You have to assume that Gordon will tell the entire staff preparing your meal to f*ck off upstairs well before they get your order out.

I just imagine how awkward that is as a diner. Even going into it knowing what this show is and how the kitchen works, I'd imagine it would be mildly off putting eating while all the screaming and punching fish is occurring thirty feet away. Lol
