I'm a guy and I would be the same tbh.
She didn't look like she gave a fuck he had the flu and no motivation to climb and also they don't know how long he was without a mother or other tangs. He was shaking because he's sick and his poor baby arms were sore from holding himself up and may have been scared to let go and fall like he hasn't done much of. Could have torn his little arm muscles and then the next day he was more sick and probably still had dead arms the poor thing will need more than like a week's dedication and love to be good to go back to the wild. I'd fuckin freak to WORK with gorgeous animals like peanut

We are made to reproduce and learn but would be very difficult without someone to teach and educate you wouldn't it. Orangutans are better at orangutan things than humans are, and humans are better than orangutans at human things. That's just how it is, and there's no reason to speculate any further than that.
It makes me sad that we're wiping out so many animals like this at such a fast rate. They'll all be gone one day and that makes me sad.

Oh man... I totally understand having to keep your distance even as a caretaker. You want to hold them close and “mother” them, but soon enough they’ll be too big to be held. People please understand that not because they don't cuddle him or force him to learn that those people are heartless. They need to keep their distance and not let those babies get too attach with humans since their purpose is to release them back to the wilds.. Those babies are give the second chance in life because those people cares for them.
But theese animals grow attached to their mother and cuddle with her . If they lack that loving contact , their neurological and deffensive sistem will be affected, they can dye of sorrow . They need a substitute mother to cling on to .

@@shalinisridhar7426 Well, getting him prepared to go back into the forest and free to do Orangutan things and live a normal Orangutan life was always the goal. And thats just what happened. Allowing him to life and die as an Orangutan can only be seen as a total success. I imagine he's just doing normal Orangutan things. 😊
O. Fender what you say is true. We all know that ultimately the animal should be free to live life on its own terms. However, there’s always been an update on other orangutans who were released at the same time such as Gelison. It would be nice to hear that Peanut ‘s doing well too

Peanut recovered, grew up, learned how to climb, and became suitable for release. The adult orangutans who can be released are free to come and go from the nearby forest (the Kabili Reserve). What amazingly emotional and real life experience these employees must go through. I understand they have their worries of a regular human life, may even be underpaid or obscured, but when you're working as a group to make sure an orphan orangutan baby gets on his feet, and using love as an integral ingredient, that's as human as it gets.

You don't physically adopt them! You just donate money to their care and they give you a certificate that says you have adopted. Hundreds of people will 'adopt' each orangutan
