Most of the time I come to TH-cam for information. Usually, I end up watching a 30 minute video only to find there is 5 minutes of productive information in it and the rest is the useless 'bla bla bla' that wastes my time. You, however, always give great instructions that mirror exactly what the title says without any fluff (unless the fluff is entertaining). I really appreciate that.
😊as a chassis builder I can truly appreciate you sharing this. Build mostly in 4130cm. I always dress the edges like you do on the disc sander. Also we Scotchbright the tube the notched tube is welding too. Makes the weld cleaner when the mill scale isn't mixing with the filler. We also do aluminum fuel cells , dashboards, and have done a couple of dry sump tanks too. Your videos cut through the misconceptions, no BS, and are truly informative. Thanks!
I have the Miller Dynasty 400 and the Primeweld 325x water cooled machine, its amazing the weld quality you can get from the primeweld, when you figure out how to read the puddle and learn how to adjust your machine properly. Great videos as always my friend.
Very educational… Thank You !! I intend to watch every video you’ve ever made. I’m just learning tig and have tremendous respect for your ability so I’ll be a sponge and soak up everything you’re willing to share.
That push button you sell comes in handy for automotive stuff. I did a few cages , and welding on my back under a car. It's worth it for stuff like that.
I like your rounding technique at 2:11. I have been spinning the tube 360 deg instead. Will try yours next time. 3:15 - I scratch my head on how one would not stack dimes when tig welding…
I Bing watch all your videos back when I got my tig welder. Then I practiced for several weeks got pretty decent then realized that it cost alot of money to keep practicing. The gas was killing me, think the store I was getting it from was ripping me off 175$ for a small tank, not the big ones in the back of most welder outfits you see, about half as tall. That was 4 years ago. I’d hate to see where it’s at now. When ever I got to tig some thing I break it out and practice a couple passes then get to it, mostly for welding aluminum. If it’s steel I usually use the shop’s mig setup.
Amazing work. Are those tubes anodized? It would be interesting to see what method you use. I do some marine fabs, and use the punch through method. Definitely doesn't look awesome as your finished product. Thanks for sharing.
Those tubes sure don't look anodized to me, looks like a mill finish. Then they were cleaned up to look good. Anodizing creates a thin aluminum oxide on the surface, so welding anodized aluminum isn't going to be optimum in my opinion. At the least the weld will be a little dirty from the oxide.
Love ya work man especially how you don’t carry on with all the Bullshit. I want one of your TIG buttons but can’t afford it at the moment. Anyway keep up the good work. It inspires me. 👍
A skilled experienced welder such as yourself can use even a "cheaper" machine and still have high quality welds. Because you actually know from experience what is going on!❤🙂
"Look at these and see if you can tell the difference..." Clearly technique & practice are more valuable than the actual machine so long as it isn't junk. Reminds me of the guitarist from ZZ Top always buying a new inexpensive guitar locally for shows, tuning it, & then playing it as good as he does.
Hey... can you do a video on tube notching? Just f'n with ya, but you know what I mean.... you have hours and hours of vid to watch, and I appeciates ya.
3:10 You get uneducated comments in the comment section from people that has not a single f-ing clue?? Noooo that can not be possible, right?! Are you absolutely certain??!
If commenters find flawed the idea of puddles, or injections of rod to the puddle? How would you achieve a 'drag weld' type of bead with hand held TIG unless the wire feed was motorized/motor fed/smoothly and evenly fed? Not sure I understand how someone could weld 'two handed' TIG- hand torch and off-hand filler feed- w/o puddles/dimes?
6061, so the commenters imagine that the torch travel over the lay wire would be dead smooth? Not the simplest feat to accomplish! every twitch and slip of the torch hand would show as puddle irregularities not unlike puddling/dip and travel.

Can never get enough of this guys demeanor lol. No bs.
Exactly the kind of bloke I like in a workshop too.

Aaron - another master class in aluminum fabrication and welding!

I love the new style videos with sound.
❤ From the UK
I am completely uneducated in welding and have a strong opinion about your stacked dime welds.
They look sick bro! 👌
That's outstanding advice! I've never thought about squaring off the whole tube like that to get more filler rod in.

The Stig of Tig has no equal. Love your videos. Thanks for sharing.

This why I enjoy 6061 channel no BS!
Thanks for another great video A-A-Ron! Keep this content coming. I appreciate the no nonsense, best-practice fab and welding tips. 👊
Been watching for years. Really enjoy listening rather than reading your videos. I struggled watching and reading at the same time ha.
Mate your a bloody legend
These last few videos have been so helpful thanks heaps 👍👍

Man I wish my MTB frame was welded together by you!
Damn dude, I’m in the process of building my first roll cage and this video comes out. What timing!
Thanks for bringing the voice in the videos >>>>>> which brings more information to us 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻

Great video. I love the explanations in them these days.
Your soccer ball and baseball hat from aluminum got me to sub forever ago
I love this channel!
Excellent presentation. Thank you. Enjoying the updates.
Always great stuff Aaron, and really like the talking, lol😀😀
Awesome work and explanation
there are alot of good inexpensive tig welders on the market I personally bought an everlast tig welder and love it
Thanks for sharing all your knowledge. I learn a ton of you video's.
Aaron thank you as usual.
Thanks as always brother!
Thanks for the great videos!
I always learn from you. Purchasing you web site was a super investment. I highly recomend it!!
U sir... are a Tig God...love the vids!
It goes to show it's the nut behind the torch that makes the difference in welding.
Great Stuff.......thank you Mr Blah Blah Blah.........cheers from Florida...Paul
beautiful work
Video lighting is fine. 😊

Fantastic.. thanks for sharing!
I would like let you weld anything i have, you work is first class

Do you have a video on TIG welder brand comparisons. I need to buy a new one. Thanks
Please email me through the website 6061.com
Channel L&S METAL WORKS is posting your videos as their own.
Thank you, the "whack a mole" game never ends with these bastards...
Nice video sir 😊
Thanks!

Good vid, cheers
Thanks
whatever happened to that cooler scooter u made

You lowered the price of the online class series? Nice
Great stuff, right from the beginning, Hi I'm blah blah blah!
Does this video look to overexposed? (too bright?)
A little but, not enough to fix and repost it.
Looks good to me
Looks good to me 👍🏼
Maybe a little bright but good enough
It looks a bit grainy somehow. But its not unwatchable
Guys that say to not stack dimes are the same guys that say a spool gun is better than tig welding.
and they lay dimes with their spool guns😁
3:10 You get uneducated comments in the comment section from people that has not a single f-ing clue?? Noooo that can not be possible, right?! Are you absolutely certain??!
I’m not a welder, but that was interesting.
not realistic. hole saw didnt catch and almost break your wrist 2-3 times and then end up with a notch thats 1/8" too wide

Lay wire/ lay rod technique. Put the rod in the puddle and don't pull it out.
6061, so the commenters imagine that the torch travel over the lay wire would be dead smooth? Not the simplest feat to accomplish! every twitch and slip of the torch hand would show as puddle irregularities not unlike puddling/dip and travel.
I got an Ad from one of those bla bla bla TH-camrs on this channel, after your video.
I’m sure you get alot of couch potato welders leaving their Ignant comment’s
Pepole think a expensive machine will make them better. I personally use a chinese welder
So I'm a horrible welder...mostly because I don't do it near enough... but it think you just used a lot of words to say do proper weld prep...
invest in grinder and paint.
