    Great vid. I think you guys make the nicest overall teardrop camper rig going round.

    Congratulations on the next generation of the XT. The new mods are well thought out! Tristan has always been very responsive with any questions that I’ve asked him. We love our 2022 XT and look forward to our upcoming trip to Natural Bridge State Park in KY, and many others this year.

    It is nice to see the upgrades and design work moving forward from the earlier units. I have the 3rd XT you guys made. I am still completely in love with ours, but I enjoy seeing the work and thought you put into the new models. Maybe I could trade up??? 😁

    This is a beautiful trailer and I understand the desire to build the best possible product available. What I dont understand is how the hell there is a market for a 35-50,000 teardrop trailer. Its absolutely crazy to me, and kinda makes me sad.

      This is a true statement it like the working man can't buy something nice everything is over priced probably only way to afford this trailer is to rent it out when not in use

    • @D0ctorSCience

      It’s cheaper than a car or an rv

    • @jamesray3920

      It is sad on many levels 😢 & it's one thing if someone was a real explor who wanted a small indoor shelter that more secure than a soft tent rooftop or ground and a kitchen area ready to go , the main cost of most small camper trailer is labor , anyone can buy a small cargo trailer turn it into a camper but it not as cool and nice looking arb earth camper it totally awesome starting price 50k but the world we all live in today is have and have not attitude, inflation is worldwide, some people buy 200k 4x4 sprinter vans I bought mine 2017 for 4300.00 I build it out myself I quess my point is make do with what you can afford and one day that 200k sprinter be worth less that half when it was new maybe then someone can afford it, most people who buy these small camper probably use it less than a few times a year 😀

      Do some research. You might then realize why all these high end teardrops have at least a 3 month lead time. If you don’t want a high end off road trailer then go to your local mass produced disposable rv dealer instead of watching these types of videos and wasting peoples time with your comments.

    • @ThomasJeffersonWolfcall-kn3bx

      Please. There are PLENTY of plywood teardrops out there you can count on to fall to pieces on the trail long before your loan paid off. Go be sad in one of those, "working man".

    Great camper!!! I gotta add my two cents though:) I definitely see value there!!!
    My observations are the reading lights may be a bit low. Other than that??? It is fantastic!
    I just have one question, is there any system under the mattress to allow for airflow? Or is it just flat on the floor?

    • @cedarridgecampers9764

      Hello - thank you for your input. The reading lights have a 360 degree rotation on the head, so they can be aimed up, or down at whatever is needed to be lit. The mattress lies flat on the floor - under it are two storage compartments and access to the water tank and pump.

    During inclement weather. Will the awning cover the whole area from the fridge to the stove? So ya don't get wet!

  • @ThomasJeffersonWolfcall-kn3bx

    I love it, man. My only concern is head room on the curved front with the mattress in sofa mode. Got any dimensions in that configuration?

    • @cedarridgecampers9764

      This mattress doesn't have a sofa mode. We have pillows here to give a "sofa mode." We have shelving in the front that restricts pulling the mattress up into that configuration.

    • @cedarridgecampers9764

      There's around 40" of headroom in the cabin from floor to ceiling.

  • @WanderingWatts

    Undeniably expensive but high quality. When you consider materials, skilled labor, and the low manufacturing volume of trailers like these the price makes more sense economically. It’s a personal decision if the value is there for you on how much you camp and where you like to camp. Obviously a trailer like this will go places lower cost big box campers won’t. Also, if you compare this Vega to other offroad teardrops from Bean and Escapod, the price is competitive.
    One other thing to consider, I bet you will buy 3-4 campers made from sticks and glue in Indiana in the amount of time this one will last.
    Just my 2 cents…

    • @cedarridgecampers9764

      Thanks for your .02! Although we know price point is important, we also know what it takes to build this quality of trailer. No billionaire CEOs making loads of cash here! It all goes back into making a quality product and R&D for future models and expansion. We are confident our camper, when compared including the same features (not unequally), is a better value than any other camper on the market. Fiberglass composite construction, welded steel frame, timbren axle-less suspension, and much, much more are the features we include standard. Thanks for the comment! Yes, this one will last a lifetime.

    Please go with the cruise master running gear next year. As someone in the market for a high end teardrop I will tell you timbren is a dirty word at this point.

    • @cedarridgecampers9764

      Timbren has gotten a bad rap from people who have installed either the wrong size or installed them incorrectly. We have extensively tested Timbrens on and off road and are very happy with the way they perform. When we designed the Vega 2.0, it originally had the cruisemaster suspension, but when we started testing it, there where a few things that we still preferred the Timbrens in. We may test Cruisemaster out in the future again but for now we will stick with the Timbrens.

    That's a nice looking, nicely shaped teardrop.........but I simply don't understand the current trend for having a short galley door/ hatch, and having the area thus hidden accessed via a side-sliding drawer. It's a terrible waste of space, in something which doesn't have any space to spare. This issue is then exacerbated by having a work-top in the galley at chest level, meaning you'd just about have to stand on a box to access it.
    It's good of Cedar Ridge to provide a tow-animal, though. :)

    • @cedarridgecampers9764

      Thank you for your input! Every design has its ups and downs, and every customer has their opinion of what's best, that's for sure. The counter height is not too high for the "average" user; our founder's wife is 5' 2" and it was designed to work well for her. The AT version is 2-3" lower and still plenty capable for off-road if that counter height is truly an issue. There is no waste of space in this unit - under the counter is packed with electronics, massive lithium battery, storage drawers, and more! - Again, thanks for your input, and let us know if you have more questions.

  • @jamesray3920

    The one thing that hardly nobody dose is rear bumper protection. The rock slider should have been added to the rear of trailer as added protection it doesn't take much to damage the trailer if I bought one of these trailer I would have to discuss rear bumper as added protection

    • @elsie9649

      If a rear bumper was added, how would you stand back there to cook?

    • @jamesray3920

      @elsie9649 The same way you open your car trunk, all cars & trucks have a rear bumper for light protection it's not rocket science, just common sense , starting price 32,000 you want it to last many years not get damaged because you back into something you didn't see 😉

    • @D0ctorSCience

      These types of campers have never had rear bumper protection and never will. Even mass produced teardrop trailers dont have rear bumpers. If that’s your main concern look elsewhere
