Tibetan Song | Dadon | My Dondup Tshering

Dadon (ཟླ་སྒྲོན་, Zla sgron, 達珍) comes from Lhasa, Central Tibet and is one of the first Tibetan pop stars, a real phenomenon at her time. After she had released three very popular albums in Tibet, she left Tibet for America in the 90ies.
This video is the only video of her time in Tibet that I know of, entitled "My Dondup Tshering (ང་ཡི་དོན་གྲུབ་ཚེ་རིང་)". The Chinese subtitles contain a translation of the song which is sung in Tibetan, Lhasa dialect.
The video "Hello! (ཁམས་བཟང་)" by ཆོས་འཕེལ་ which addresses her and praises her achievements as a singer shows that she is respected in Tibet:

Really it will flash back my school life when i was a kid. I used to listen this songs from our home ama la room. Our pala playing this song in his antique tape record really feel i am still young again and listening this songs while i m listening again n again.
