I don’t know what it is about Haley, we honestly have such a different reading taste (I don’t read romance almost at all) but I find myself coming back to her channel and watch all of her videos, I think it’s her energy for me, the way she talks about books and the fact that she has recently discovered her new found love for reading.. idk I just really love this channel and find Haley so entertaining even though I hate most of the books she loves lmao

However, everyone keeps recommenting Seven Husbands and I wonder if I should read it, kinda nearly downloaded it a few times
I absolutely LOVED Sadie by Courtney Summers. It follows Sadie, an 18-year-old girl, who tries to find her sister's murderer while also following a podcast on the entire case. I will never stop talking about the book. I really encourage you to read it.
i honestly rly appreciate the fact that you gave the cruel prince series a second chance. there’s a lot of people that have read the first book, didn’t like it and then totally gave up on the whole series and it’s a shame bc the rest of the series is soo good!!

thrillers i really liked and recommend: lock every door by riley sager home before dark by riley sager (i really need to read more from him) no exit by taylor adams behind her eyes by sarah pinborough (this one is a bit slower paced but it still had me interested and the twist is insane
Would you ever consider tabbing/annotating your books? Since you read so much, you might enjoy marking your fav quotes/scenes to look back at! I know a lot of people see it as ruining their books though… so to each their own! Ahhhh I love your videos so much I would love love love to be more like you when I grow up

I don't know if you know but there is a half book in between the second and third book in The Cruel Prince series which is from Jude's sister's perspective and her secret relationship with Locke. It was a nice little highlight, made me like Taryn a little bit more! Also thanks for more recommendations I've loved all the books you've reccomended so far!!
Ok so if anyone wants some fast reads, just recommend them by answering here ;) Here are mine: Heart bones (it’s fast paced and has nice vibe.pain as well) Verity (it’s SO INTERESTING) Caraval (the start is kinda hard but it’s so good I actually got in a slump after finishing it) Selection series (yeah they are wattpad reads but I loved them for it and short too- just don’t read the last two) The 7 husbands of Evelyn Hugo (am I supposed to give a reason? So good. Emotional. Dramatic. Taylor J. Reid everyone) Malibu Rising (so good and summery, a story of one day but SO DAMAGING) The summer I turned pretty series (they are so cute and interesting, summer love kind of thing) Daisy Jones and the Six (I finished it in a day so yeah. It also gave me book hangover. 5 starts and traumatised but worth it) *don’t attack me for my choices, we don’t all agree* Feel free to recommend some as well. PS. I’m thinking of reading one true loves and one of us is lying, are they worth it? Edit: I finished one true loves. I’m still thinking about it. Also, the QUOTES are really out of this world. Definitely a must read
One of us is lying is a pretty good book. I found it pretty predictable and found it over hyped, but overall it was really good and i love the characters! But the sequel one of us is next is definitely better! I loved the 2nd book way more than the first! Hope this helps:)
i liked one of us is lying! but honestly over the duology i prefer one of karen m mcmanus' other books "cousins".one of us is lying is still good, but cousins is another level!

i just read a really good thriller novel called The Plot by Jean Hanff Korelitz and not only is his writing addicting but the plot twists were INSANE. highly recommend

(I haven’t been YA in quite a while) 😂 It was definitely a 5+ star read! I’m so looking forward to anything new that Lynn Painter writes! I’m also very interested/curious about The House Across the Lake, as I’m more of a romance/historical fiction reader. How scary is it? I can do mystery and suspense but I don’t like to be spooked. I’m also not into gore or real graphic violence. I want to mix it up a bit since I’ve been reading so many contemporary “beach reads” this Summer, but feel a little unsure if I’ll like it. My favorite ones that aren’t too scary are the Bird Box series, The Road, and Gillian Flynn books if you can get past the horrible profanity. Tana French is another good one.

A good kind of thriller I read is Fractured Tide! It has a touch of romance and it has a unique pov and it’s basically a survival story about a group of people stranded on an island. The character development and plot twists were incredible and it got me back into reading after a few years!
i seriously think you need to read a different sarah dessen book! i haven't read that one but i have read 4 of her other books and i've loved them all and we have pretty similar reading tastes!! i would recommend "along for the ride" personally or for one that isn't really a romance but just very good and emotional "dreamland" i hope you give her another chance! im 20 and just started reading her this year so i didn't grow up on her but i love her!
If you loved the Cruel Prince series you should also read How the King of Elfhame Learned to Hate Stories! It's about Cardan and has really pretty artwork in it. Also for thrillers, I really liked In a Dark, Dark Wood by Ruth Ware :)
HAYLEY PLEASE READ TRULY DEVIOUS… even if u wanna wait until fall or winter or a more cozy month… trust me you will NOT end up caring! it is such a good book it transcends seasons haley!! please read it! fyi you WILL want the second book immediately after finishing the first one so make sure you have it… also theres a standalone with the same characters set in the summer at a summer camp! i think you’re supposed to read it after finishing the trilogy though just an fyi
If you are liking reading thrillers so far I would really recommend to try reading some books from Donato Carrisi (The whisperer is the best one to start with and it's his most famous book as well) or Harlan Coben (The boy from the woods is one of mine personal favorites). Be warned these two don't just write thrillers they are also mystery, crime and borderline horror books.
You should read some more Francine Rivers(who wrote redeeming love) or other Christian romance authors novels, I’ve only read redeeming love but I loved it and always trust your recs!
I read better than the movies because of you and loved it!!! One of my favorite romances now. I love how it was kinda stereotypical but somehow not cringey or cheesy. It was like a perfect version of a generic ya love story. 5 stars for me too

A good kind of thriller I read is Fractured Tide! It has a touch of romance and it has a unique pov and it’s basically a survival story about a group of people stranded on an island. The character development and plot twists were incredible and it got me back into reading after a few years!
i seriously think you need to read a different sarah dessen book! i haven't read that one but i have read 4 of her other books and i've loved them all and we have pretty similar reading tastes!! i would recommend "along for the ride" personally or for one that isn't really a romance but just very good and emotional "dreamland" i hope you give her another chance! im 20 and just started reading her this year so i didn't grow up on her but i love her!

If you loved the Cruel Prince series you should also read How the King of Elfhame Learned to Hate Stories! It's about Cardan and has really pretty artwork in it. Also for thrillers, I really liked In a Dark, Dark Wood by Ruth Ware :)

HAYLEY PLEASE READ TRULY DEVIOUS… even if u wanna wait until fall or winter or a more cozy month… trust me you will NOT end up caring! it is such a good book it transcends seasons haley!! please read it! fyi you WILL want the second book immediately after finishing the first one so make sure you have it… also theres a standalone with the same characters set in the summer at a summer camp! i think you’re supposed to read it after finishing the trilogy though just an fyi
You should read where the crawdads sing!! The thriller/mystery aspect is a little slow at the beginning but once i got into it I couldn't put it down!

If you are liking reading thrillers so far I would really recommend to try reading some books from Donato Carrisi (The whisperer is the best one to start with and it's his most famous book as well) or Harlan Coben (The boy from the woods is one of mine personal favorites). Be warned these two don't just write thrillers they are also mystery, crime and borderline horror books.

You should read some more Francine Rivers(who wrote redeeming love) or other Christian romance authors novels, I’ve only read redeeming love but I loved it and always trust your recs!

I read better than the movies because of you and loved it!!! One of my favorite romances now. I love how it was kinda stereotypical but somehow not cringey or cheesy. It was like a perfect version of a generic ya love story. 5 stars for me too
