#shorts Could you achieve the same thing with an android phone and a Bluetooth controller? Let's not talk about that. Check out my channel for the full DIY video! #raspberrypi #arduino #electronics
My refrigerator supports steam link plenty of ways to trick steam into thinking you're running the lastest android. Thing that matters the most for steam link is internet speed. 😊
What a really always wanted to see is one of my ideas coming to reality, which is like a super Samsung Dex dock, using an hdmi to usb c adapter but the hole thing would look like some kind of mini console, then you insert your phone in it and is connects and have a cooling system too
@Windo0ows Eh From what I remember, not counting the official Virtual Console, as each game had its own fine-tuned emulation profile, N64 emulation was pretty iffy on Wii 64. Even a Raspberry Pi 4, a weaker system, handled N64 better in 720p if configured properly And Nintendo DS emulation was just garbage, with I think WarioWare: Touch and Yoshi's Island DS being the games that ran the best But it's been years since I've touched my modded Wii (probably 2016 or 2017), so it's possible that those emulators improved since then
This reminds me of TH-cam user 'DIY Dr K' who did something similar, but used an iPhone XR in a Switch shell instead. However, I remember him doing other projects involving stuff like Orange Pi and ODROID.
And there is me, who spent 8$ on telescopic horizontal gamepad. It was meant to be for my redmi note 7, but unfortunately it works better than 10$ new one, bought from second hand (13$ full price) on PS2 emulation on PC.
Advice. When using your "Wideboy" form factor, put 2 indents on the bottom, one below the d-pad, and one below the button diamond. Then an indent on either side, a little higher than the analog sticks. This will turn the corners into a simplified ergonomic grip.
I made an android console to but mine is has a cardboard housing because i dont have a 3d printer and i used an old Samsung phone as the brain and a Bluetooth keyboard as controller
pretty badass. I'm guessing you just had the phone lying around. but they do make fairly cheap screens you can find on Amazon compatible with raspberry pi and orange pi. did you 3d print the case yourself?
When AAA companies can't deliver you modern games, go back to the old ones. I always find people wanting to go back to the roots, there's only one real way to do it and that is emulation, Nintendo needs to know that more than anybody else, cuz when you try to strip the copies of your games that you hold so dear but yet don't do anything with them for 25 years. People aren't going to really rely on you creating something that will satisfy their needs. That's why emulation probably the best thing to get no matter how you do it. Either stationery, portable or as interface as a network. Either way, long as you enjoy yourself

does this work for PCVR
You should sell these

Take my money sir 🙏
I would love to own one (made by you).
Greetings from a fan from the Czech Republic ✌️
reupload???
Looks surprisingly nice for something that's just thrown together from existing parts.
thanks, I think

What impresses me the most is the fact that this is running android 7 (or less) and still supports steamlink
My refrigerator supports steam link plenty of ways to trick steam into thinking you're running the lastest android.

Android 7 still runs most 99% apps fine ( except latest Google apps like YT itself lol 😂) but old apps will still work ..
@@xninja2369 well most of the apps are android 8.0+
This is running a naked version of android 10
@@MemzDev app icon looks like it from android 6 or 7 .. not sure though
so underated ,keep it up man
technically it's the handheld equivalent of the first XBOX considering it's all off the shelf items.
This the kinda shorts I like to see ez sub
This is why we need android products for things like these
The “im cheap” in the background has me laughing 😂😂
So bare minimum? I need:
1. A body or casing
2. Screen or monitor
3. controler
4. Brain
5. Power Bank
Does that sound right?
Yes
You know? You could actually order a 4/3 IPS screen, instead of using a phone.
looks like not a phone but just the screen of a phone. its probably cheaper that way.
This is a very interesting formfactor. I think you may have started a new trend fren
I definitely didnt start the trend, the WIDEBOY was alive and well long before me, thanks for the comment!
Very impressive build
Looks like a phone put into a custom case, probably would make as much sense lol
Great job man, looks nice!
"off the shelf is better!"
*3D prints a case*
Did you expect him to buy an aftermarket Game Boy shell or something? 🗿
My print is on a shelf
You can use legos...a
'Cheap ripoff PS2 controller'...drops a first-party Sony controller on the table, hee.
@VulpisFoxfire good eye, I had already taken apart the controller when I shot that scene so I used real one as a quick substitute
Literally seen it the second he dropped it
If these were sold, I'd buy one when I can
Good to see a fellow tinkerer in South Africa.
Awe
Would be cool to make one that can both horizontal and vertical for DS games
I really like the form factor
Nice vid! Underrated Ong
Good work man ❤
thank you

*Throws down an official ps1 Dualshock
you need to sell this
i could see a V2 of this where it's hinged like a DS
What a really always wanted to see is one of my ideas coming to reality, which is like a super Samsung Dex dock, using an hdmi to usb c adapter but the hole thing would look like some kind of mini console, then you insert your phone in it and is connects and have a cooling system too
You should build it or message this guy your idea directly, he might build it
Nice build, you could do that with an old android as well and save some money
Awesome you created a "PowKiddy" ROM player handheld , that's pretty cool 😎👍👍
Wow, this is a REALY awesome project, and I've got al this stuff lying arround! :D
could have used a trimmed Wii motherboard but that would have probably been a lot more complicated and expensive
Could have used a Galaxy S6, but that would have been a lot easier and less complicated.

dem bezels doe
I'd buy this make it modular!
*the greatest technician that’s ever lived*
Something I’m confused about is where the r1 and r2 buttons go
That’s not a console, that’s a phone case
Now make a dual screen version
i like this console if i had it
You should’ve put cooling it it. Although you probably might not even use it for that long anyway
Wish i was this technologically imaginativee
Hell yeah, that’s pretty sick!
(Is exactly what I said when this video was over😅)
It's absolutely hideous, but very cool.
:(
bro u are on another level, kkep up the amazing work!

Wow great job

make it even simpler by using an old cartridge for something

Now can we make a mini handheld Xbox? Its the only 6th gen console that is not playing on android
Awesome project! How does the console feel in the hands while playing? Those corners look sharp 🫨
"I'm CHEAP" or just smart :D
Better than the pocket console
Really nice but with this screen, the controls needed to be switch like

Bro, using emulators on this thing would be insane because of so many emulators on android
CLEAR COAT
So you literally just made a portable version of the ouya
Hurtful
work with M-con guy, this a millionarie idea
Try doing a steam deck type of layout so its more comfortable
might try this in future
Sad how there’s no r1 r2 l1 l2 triggers
Bro made a 2DS
Bro forgot about "ergonomics"
could have an flip design... but it's alright (and the ps2 buttons would be too large)
I'd recommend using Moonlight (with sunshine if not NVidia gpu) as It get better performance, less input delay and better image than steam remote
Ill give it a try!
dam, good job!
Yes more of this
I want to do a similar project is the controller plugged in to the usb port or cut and soldered

while it is impressive, you should reprint that shell with some grips on it because that isnt very ergonomic
its actually very comfortable
its him.............thelegend27 himself
U could have used a rasbery pi with retro pi
I recommend the rgb20sx. Better quality parts and cheaper than building from scratch
Thanks for the tip!

Man i need the stl archive so Bad
The square
Please put the video link in the pinned comment it's easier that way
Good point
Its a good think you made a android console with that cheap ps2 controller and not as the controls for a submarine
He lied I think, he used an old smartphone instead of that rockpi!😮
Way better than the Ouya.
pretty badass. I'm guessing you just had the phone lying around. but they do make fairly cheap screens you can find on Amazon compatible with raspberry pi and orange pi. did you 3d print the case yourself?
This is not made of an old phone, this is made of an Orange Pi running Android + the orange Pis official Screen Module
@Build It my mistake. Looks like an old phone screen
How does the controller connect to the motherboard ? Can you show me ?
You gave me a great idea, I built the same thing... well just out of an old Android, controller and a bit of pape haha
This but with my phone and a Razer kishi. Just plug and play and it also supports steam link 😂
Epic bro 👍
Where are R1,R2 vs
what if we modify the disign so it looks like a switch?
Looks cool
are you still making em if so will you sell them
