08:41 "It wasn't a Chris Wilder masterclass; it was a Rob Edwards disaster class".... "we finished 10 points ahead of Sheffield United last year"..... Two points I'd like to make here: 1. Blades would be those 2 points clear at the top but for the pre-season deduction. Luton were up against an in-form team who are undefeated and have now played 6 games on the trot without conceding a goal. 2. Luton did not finish 10 points above this team last season, simply because this team is nothing like the Sheffield United teams of last season. As I understand it from you chaps, this Luton team is basically the same as last season so you're comparing last season's chalk with this season's cheese. May I offer some perspective? Blades have changed dramatically in terms of personnel and in age profile. Last season was destined to be a disaster due to the loss of star players at the start. Iliman Ndiaye carried an ageing squad into the Premier League and we all knew (or most of us at least) we were destined for a bottom place finish. Blades have a very special academy, evidenced by the players we have gifted to the big boys - Kyle Walker being the standout example of course. We offloaded our long-term ageing players who'd brought us up from League 1 etc together with other transfer fee assets that meant we netted around 32 million and spent only 6 million, leaving us (still locked in this epic 3 serial saga of eventual ownership takeover) very short on squad players thus dependant on key loan players and young Blades from the academy. Chris Wilder should NOT be underestimated as he built a squad from scratch when we were 4th from bottom of League 1 and took us to the Premier League. These young lads have obviously bought into his "Blades do-or-die" philosophy, and the fact that Hamer, Souza and Anel Ahmedhodžić have chosen to stay (and O'Hare chose to join Hamer) speaks to the advocacy of Chris Wilder's appeal and approach. I accept your views on your own team, but this gloomy talk of "should've lost by 8, 9 or 10" is OTT guys, and when you take into account the ebbs & flows of championship football, and the oftentimes vagaries of form (eg Plymouth 1st match v Sheff Wed not even League standard) then we, as fans, can get a bit carried away. As we love to say up here in Yorkshire .... "six o' one and arf dozen o'tother". Love the vid guys .... good luck for the season.

When your getting comments im press from mengi ie i have told rob edwards while im here il give 100 per cent! No one seems to have picked up on this there is the problem! There is a core of players there who think they should be playing higher than the championship! NO ! Last season has gone the only way you get a move is starting again and earning it!

As a sunderland fan, this looks familiar... back to back relegation on the cards?

@@rjwgraves1 we need to show more on the pitch if we want to avoid it. The way we are playing right now, we have relegation written all over us.

Worse than under Gurney and Kohler?

Beefy was talking about how the performances right now are gutless, he’s not talking about off the pitch, which is the most stable we have been in our entire history. To be fair, the Kohler era, as low as the crowds were, we had some cult legends during those years, especially as Kohler sold off any asset that would attract interest.
Regarding Gurney, it was only 55 days, off the pitch was awful, but on the pitch as soon as he was gone, Mike Newell got to work, and we had some iconic players from that squad.

@@TheOKFootballShow thanks. Lets hope we start getting back to winning ways soon.
Remember Ian Benjamin scoring a cracker against the a scum in the mud.
The Newell days were (on the pitch) amazing. Brko, Vine, Howard, Coyne, Nico. Now that's a spine.

Spot on, off the pitch we are very tidy these days. It's the manner of the losses that are painful!
