I think it’s an excellent lens with vastly superior Macro capabilities over its GMII competition. It is let down by the fact that Sony cripples the firmware of their Pro Bodies to protect GM lenses.... Sigma is the best option for A7 bodies

what about the dust resistance ????
At Sigma 24 70 no1 was very easy to dust dots to came inside the glass, like ridiculous easy. Like , one walk at the park was enough..

The Sigma 24-70mm f/2.8 DG DN II Art Lens, though it has been announced, has not yet been released (the release date is set for May 30, 2024). However, according to Sigma, the new Sigma 24-70mm f/2.8 DG DN II Art Lens has been updated and improved. The new lens does have a dust- and splash-resistant structure for weather resistance, and the front optic is designed to repel water and oil. We expect for there to be fewer issues with dust with the updated lens.
