This song is definitely brilliant and very joyful. Shakira is beautiful and absolutely amazing singer and dancer. I am smiling when I listened this song because it was mixture of Spanish and pop music 😊❤
Shakira is an amazingly versatile artist. From Don't Wait Up at the dance end of things, to her Back in Black cover for her tours! She really does have so much passion and love for her music, just like Wyclef! Much love for them both, absolutely A1 collaboration.
They did two more songs together Spy which was Shakira's album and The Border which was not officially released. This song is one of the best selling songs of 2000s, they even did a remix for 2006 FIFA World Cup.
love this song and her body movemnts. She's been learning arab belly dancing for a long time. This real mix cultures : spanish, south american (colombia), arab, english. Wow Shakira got to you too.
The song is actually a rework of a song called “dance like this” by wyclef & Claudette Ortiz from the dirty dancing 2 soundtrack. The horn intro is a sample from a latin song by Jerry Rivera called Amores Como El Nuestro. Jerry Rivera actually tried to sue Shakira & Wyclef for using that sample however even though he was the singer on the original he wasn’t the writer of the song & it was the writer who allowed Shakira & Wyclef to use it, as I understand it.
Hi, greetings from Colombia!, the dance she is doing when Wyclef sings "as you come from Colombia" is in fact colombian cumbia: the video is an homage to the Barranquilla Carnival, and it mixes two colombian rithms, cumbia and vallenato 👀 the sound is a colombian gaita. Colombian national rithms are eclectic as they mix a lot of rithms from around the world

I heard this song on the radio before i saw the video. I already knew i was in love with her without ever seeing her after hearing her sing the first 2 lines.
This song's written by Shakira, Wyclef and a couple others, including Omar Alfanno who has writing credits cause the horns and clarinet sample you hear in "Hips Don't Lie" come from a song he wrote called "Amores como el Nuestro" sung by Jerry Rivera from 1992. It's produced by Shakira, Wyclef and a couple others. Btw Shakira produces and writes all of her songs, she even did the cumbia arrangement for this song.
Are you telling me there are people who haven't heard this song before? Are you that young? If you're interested in more Shakira, I'd recommend her live version of "je l'aime à mourir".. not sure if you know french but the song is amazing
