Gentlemen another fantastic reaction. The Zeppelin machine was in the pocket the entire concert. Jimmy, JPJ, John, Robert had so much chemistry because of their musical talent they are one of the best in the business. Dazed and Confused will blow your mind. Jimmy was possessed it is a mantra of tempo changes and melodic chord progressions. Jimmy then does his magic with the violin bow. Bonzo and JPJ are absolute wizards keeping the tempo with Jimmy and his mesmerizing soul of this song. I hope you will like it. Thank you once again for taking my request of one of the greatest concerts ever recorded in my opinion. Keep up the fabulous job La and Che…

This was Jimmy’s band even though they were four equal members of the band. It was his vision, his innovation that started it all. Robert, Jimmy, JPJ, and Bonzo were all musical geniuses that a higher power brought together to form the greatest Rock band of all time. Led Zeppelin.
Interestingly, this track was not in the original film or soundtrack album. It was an outtake, and only added later in album remasters and reissues. When Robert sings about singing all his songs for "the girl who won his heart," on the album he says "three years old" and in this track he says "four years old." @@aloncaftori7397 No, it wasn't. The film was reissued in 2007 with the song added, along with 40 minutes of bonus material and two other songs. For me every song on this TSRTS movie soundtrack is Zeppelin gold! From No Quarter (the best thing Zeppelin ever recorded live, imo) straight into TSRTS, The Rain Song, The Ocean, Dazed Confused, and then Stairway, are the highlight of the entire double album and I always have to listen to that sequence as one long song! 😊
Once again, I have to say you guys are excellent at Led Zeppelin reactions and I’m glad you guys know that they definitely were and are the best band ever.
I’ve said it before & I’ll say it again, you two would have fit in perfectly with my group of teenaged friends. Listening to music (albums) was an activity. We would all sit around in someone’s room/basement/where ever the turntable was and put the latest album on. Your faces & reactions make me feel like a freaking teenager. The joy & appreciation you guys have for LZ (and all my “old” bands) just warms the cockles of my AARP heart. You see why rock stars (especially LZ) were gods to us. Rock on, guys. 🤘🫶
Another great one guys. It's amazing how great Zep's studio work is ...but then their live performances are just a whole other beast! I love how they improvise and embellish their music on stage. Can't wait for Dazed and Confused ...
In the actual concert this was an encore song. They placed it here in the play order on the reissue to give the 1st album and CD of the double to have a natural ending
@@juliemanarin4127 Hi Julie! Yep! Jimmy and JPJ were heavily used as session musicians back in the day. JPJ played on the Rolling Stones "She's a Rainbow" among many others.....and Jimmy/JPJ played on Donovan's "Sunshine Superman," as well as "Beck's Bolero," which almost became Zeppelin, before Zeppelin. Jimmy played on EVERYTHING, from Petula Clark's "Downtown," to Tom Jones' "Its Not Unusual," to the soundtrack to the movie "Goldfinger." Jimmy was laying down 3-4 tracks a day in his very early 20's....amazing.
You're right, it's Jimmy's baby. The band , Jimmy knew, took on a life of its own. When Robert started writing lyrics for the 2nd LZ album. Along with fellow studio master musician JPJ and Bonzos powerhouse drumming and chemistry, they would be invincible audibly and visually! IMHO Page compiled the songs for the debut album, which was his dream if he found the perfect band...struck GOLD!
Ahh the mighty Zeppelin live . . . so many great moments. "Who is playing the rhythm?" Ha, it's John Paul with his trusty bass, but like some have alluded to; the problem with 3 piece bands, Zepp, the Who, Cream, etc etc all the way up to Nirvana is once the guitarist takes on a solo, then the whole bottom drops out. Sometimes the bass can play the rhythm and it works but the old 2 guitar attack bands have it easier when the lead takes the solo, the rhythm guitar keeps chugging along, ala Rolling Stones Mick Taylor/Keith Richards . . . Great Reaction guys, keep it up!!
Great reaction! It seems like the audience is applauding a long time but actually this track closed the show and they were bowing to the crowd. The video of this is in their 2003 DVD.
I may be wrong, but I think that opening chant was John Bonham. He's saying something like, "We've done four already, but now we're steady, and then we went, one, two, three, four..." (EDIT: I just remembered that it's also on the studio version.)

I saw Page and Plant at MSG in 95 by chance and it was fantastic! They were there with a rock group, a Morroccon, an Egyptian, and a classical orchestra. Only THAT song, but it was amazing.
