Biome Specific Tips Grasslands has the mildest storms, mostly rain, hail and winds. Some storms have lightning. o Lightning can strike the player, the buildings, or trees causing them to catch fire and burn. o Trees that have been hit by lightning will burn and burnt trees will yield charcoal when chopped down. o Any wooden structures that were hit by lightning will catch on fire and burn till destroyed or extinguished by a water bomb, fire whacker, fire extinguisher, or sprinkler. o Stone Tier and above building types will not catch fire due to lightning strikes o Lightning strikes can be prevented with Lightning rods placed somewhere that is higher than the building itself o If the player is caught on fire because of a lightning strike, you can simply drink water from a canteen, jump into a pool of water, throw a water bomb at your feet to get rid of the fire. Drinking water from a water canteen will provide the cooling effect that gets rid of fire. Swamp has dangerous storms and very low visibility during storms due to the green fog effect. o Thick putrid gases and Acid fogs have low visibility and is very dangerous to venture out. Animal Highlighting module will help spotting wildlife during these storms with low visibility o Putrid Gas storms will cause your food in your inventory to spoil faster If you have a lot of food in your inventory for a journey, and passing through the swamp and get caught in a putrid gas storm, seek cover immediately before the storm worsens otherwise your precious food will spoil quicker. o Acid Fog storms will damage the player and their equipment requiring repair more frequently. o Acid Rain Storms will damage any nearby metal building pieces faster. o Acid Rain will not fill any water troughs or rain reservoirs Volcanic Storms will cause increased water consumption due to increased heat. o Ash storms will clog all your crafting benches and slow the crafting speed. The effects can be reduced by being in shelter and can be completely countered by dehumidifiers. (This does not work as of right not, so it needs to be fixed) Ashen Smog Storm (Tier 3) Does not have a red zone but it is very long. During this time fully exposed players will take 3-4 damage per tick and their crafting benches will clog up slowing down by 45% if sheltered. Very annoying when you are trying to cleanse red exotics. o Sulfuric Storms will be an acid rain storm but it will cause sulfur pools to react violently the player and mounts will take damage if near a sulfur pool Building bases on top of sulfur pools is not a good idea and will cause damage while you are inside your base. o Lava will burn all building types EXCEPT Scoria, Scoria Brick, and Aluminum. These 3 types of building material will survive in lava. Concrete will be destroyed in lava. o Tier 2 Obsidian armor will allow the character to jump into lava with minimal damage from the lava. o Tier 4 Obsidian armor has the highest fire resistance and also mitigates 50% explosive damage. Very useful against the Lava hunter boss. o Heatwave storms will cause the hot debuff, if you don’t cooldown, you will get the hyperthermia debuff. Arctic Storms will cause increased food consumption due to the cold. o Arctic Armor is a good choice of armor for this biome with good resistances to cold. o Snow will buildup on top of buildings. Building with flat rooftops will have a chance to collapse due to the increased weight of the snow buildup. Using angled roof pieces will mitigate this possibility. o Having a water canteen in your envirosuit’s water slot will cause you to constantly cooldown, with negative temperatures, your character will have the cold debuff. If you do not increase your temp, you will get the hypothermia debuff and eventually frostbite. Frostbite will damage the character until body temperature returns to normal. So, keep your water canteen in your inventory or you can get the Heated water canteen from the workshop which heats the player as well as keeps them thirst free. o Arctic storms have winds, snow, and hail. Some storms will include lightning. o Polar bears are very tanky with their high Hit points and can do a lot of damage. They charge past their targets like a bull charging at a matador. Best way is to side step and move forward. o Snow Stalkers are very fast and dodge attacks by moving side to side. Electroshock attachment on weapons with a shield or electroshock arrows are a good way to deal with them.
thank you! i didn't either until i decided to test out every single storm till fully exposed in the red zone to see all the effects. No one would probably wait that long but hey someday that knowledge might come in handy
in depth part is not worrying me, is it clear, concise and entertaining! thats what i worry about! Also did you see the pinned comment for all the tips!

Thanks for all the research you did for this. Very helpful!
Glad it was helpful! it took me days to get all the data besides what sara provided...
I added the Biome specific tips in the Pinned Comment under this video. Check it out if you are interested!
Another well done vid, IG! I didn’t know or recognize a few of the storms (sees how closely I pay attention haha).

😂😂😂 the edits are mint
Well done
Crazy how in depth you go on all your video! Thanks for all the time and effort you put into these videos 👏👏👏🫶

@@Infinity.Gaming2023 it's definitely all of the above 👌
👏👏👏
Is this an AI voice? its really nice
Yes all voices are A.I. I use it to help me create videos quicker, so i don't have to edit the voice scripts. It helps so much.
Thank you for the info! As a trans lesbian, the weather girl was a nice added bonus 😊
🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉
I can listen to your voice about 3 seconds before my ears start to bleed. :|
you prefer a male voice? because i can make it happen.. its A.I voice, so i can change it up.
@@Infinity.Gaming2023 That explains the ear pain. It is a very loud and high pitched voice. Generally I'd prefer a human voice.
