Hey Christian, we all have our bad days buddy. Anyone that bowls will tell you that one for sure. Don't let a couple bad days make you quit on prodigy, personally I love seeing you on the show and hope you continue to do your best to compete for the signing of the pin. Don't feel like you're making yourself look a fool just because of a bad game here and there, remember every bad game has some learning to be taken from it. Not competing to practice your game is nonsense, this is some of the best practice you can have especially with the sport patterns and competitive environment. Don't give up yet man!
This episode had a lot of funny moments (how to make a 4-pin, the "intentional" fouls, etc.). I get the feeling that eventually, when you say they have to "keep it on the lane and stay behind the foul line" that someone like Christian or Nolan will fail to do both of those at the same time 😂. Nolan has fouled a couple times before, and everyone knows about Christian...
Been having problems on my league night too. These kids are good bowlers and wished I could just do half as good as some of them. I practiced alot love the game have not been able to find a coach. Will keep trying to do the best I can and I know you will help the kids all you can.
Great matches! Loved it! By the way I have a correction to our conversation from last time Randy! I said the keyboard player in the band Scary Pockets was the head of Patreon...I evidently need to stop doing posts when I'm too tired. Sorry! Here's the correct info.Jack Conte is the head of Patreon. He is an American musician (usually plays Keyboard), singer-songwriter, disc jockey, entrepreneur, and filmmaker. He is also one half of the music group Pomplamoose, along with his wife Nataly Dawn. Wikipedia their kind of Rhythm and blues/Funk.. My daughters pointed them out to me..anyway..there's my story....P.S. I love all the new faces!
I also have a habit of yanking it at the bottom like Christian. I wonder sometimes why lanes seem dry to me. I bowl on a house shot. Might buy a Storm Pitch Black. I wonder if Christian uses Urethane. I see he mostly uses urethane for spares.
Christian is one of these kids I was talking about trying to throw the ball too hard. Throttle back move your marks over a few boards and see how well that works for you Christian.
A lot of people hate him , but Love him or hate him he does have a radio voice and is the only famous radio guy I could think of , that’s why I used his name . Sorry if I offended you
BrownswickBowling Have you ever tried to make Christian lower his backswing. I feel almost its too high he cant control his rev so then his hook is weird. Just advice.
Every time he's lowered his backswing, he bowls better. Yet, the next time he bowls, it's as if he has completely forgotten about the change he implemented. Or he just doesn't want to bowl that way. I've given up trying to coach him. He thinks he knows more about it than I do. Everything you see here or hear me mention in the commentary, Christian and I have talked about........a thousand times. Here's what I know: the definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over expecting a different result. If he wants a different result, he has to commit to making some fundamental changes. For whatever reason, he just won't. Or he just forgets. Not sure which it is. He's pretty stubborn.
Yeah, if he doesnt want that result he definitely needs to change. It really seems like a problem. Also that isnt very healthy for your arm. He just needs to tank a few games or weeks of league and just bowl practice with a low backswing. Thanks, Randy
Generally speaking, the show will be made available for wide release on Friday each week. For our $5 and up patrons on PATREON, it'll be available at least a day before that (as soon as it's done, basically). There is no "schedule" for PRODIGY, per se. We do the show if we have enough interested kids to tape a show, and assuming I'm there to tape it (which is the case most weeks). It only takes two kids to do a show. But I prefer there to be more.
Logan has stated on his Instagram feed that he's not bowling PRODIGY this year. We'll see. There's a mention of him in the latest episode which will be released tomorrow (Friday) afternoon, October 5th, 2018.
These kids, and many across the country are being taught wrong. The two handed bowlers are going to have back issues later in life. I put 100% blame on the USBC.
That's nothing more than an assertion on your part. Fact is, I believed the same thing. But recently, I learned that Kegel is now saying they have enough data in to say that two-handers are actually LESS likely to be injury prone. Once I heard that, it removed the only real concern I had about it.
odellus this is possible but at my home house if the kids don’t strike first ball they get mad and don’t even try for the spare. To them it’s strike or nothing
This is why all coaches I know stress spares, spares, spares. Further, I would argue that if kids don't care about spares, it's a pretty safe bet that they don't bowl in tournaments, and probably don't bowl on sport patterns. Because only a house shot hack would believe that spares aren't important. You bowl on sport conditions where strikes are few and far between and you'll gain a whole new appreciation for the importance of spares.
Spare shooting takes no longer to learn than most anything else in our game. But they have to have a system. Kids who are serious about getting good at bowling will almost always have a system for spare shooting. Those who don't will always struggle with spares.
***** Please, do NOT post *SPOILERS* !!! *****
SPOILER I’m never making prodigy😔
This was so much fun! Can’t wait to try again tomorrow.
That first commercial was nostalgic af. Still have mine.
i hate it when a prodigy episode isnt 7 hours long :(

I have been a huge Pomplamoose fan for a long time. I’m very well aware of Jack Conte.
I figured you knew but just thought I'd correct myself! I love pomplamoose too!
Why does the lead change when it’s someone’s turn to bowl, but someone has already bowled in that frame?
I see this is rowens first time for prodigy he must be excited

Coach Randy has a radio voice , he’s like Rush Limbaughor something .
Seems like a great coach
Todd Fields - I better have a radio voice. I’ve been in radio since I was 16. But don’t compare me to Rush. I hate that man.
A lot of people hate him , but Love him or hate him he does have a radio voice and is the only famous radio guy I could think of , that’s why I used his name .

BrownswickBowling Have you ever tried to make Christian lower his backswing. I feel almost its too high he cant control his rev so then his hook is weird. Just advice.
About ten thousand times.
Has he ever tried to? It seems like he gets too tempered he needs to just relaxe

Autobahn is german and means highway 😂😂
Charlie only bowled bad because he kept getting bad racks... especially on that 5-8-10 😂
kids now a days care about how flashy their strike ball looks and forget that spares are more important.
Big Vice - This is not a new phenomena.
or maybe it's just that accurate spare shooting takes a long time to develop?
