Not a remedy, but a way to make setting trigger notes less of a pain. In the marker/region menu, there's a setting that says ,,Set trigger notes to all,'' which will take you through each marker to set a trigger note to, making it to where you don't have to go to each one individually and select ,,Set trigger note.'' Hope this is of use to anyone!!
I do this but another tip is to put the slicex window all the way to the right til it snaps. This will prevent the window showing the note set it to, to not move everytime you set the next note.
Thanks, Keyz, I will take mental note of these! For the first tip, I'm just now doing this to test melodies. Definitely saw a bit of difference when I used it on my chromatic. On the second tip: for the immediate start thing, I adjust the start velocity envelope which basically is raising a bar so I don't really touch each marker individually. And now I know about regions, so I'll definitely try using those! And finally, the third tip: something I definitely have to experiment on. I'm so used to transposing notes (which does "work" most of the time) for covers, but now, I probably won't have to as much.
i make covers, i get this is a year old but sometimes the chromatic just.. stops working in all cases. i can still hear it in the marker thing but the midi wont play the chromatic.
I know it may seem really stupid to ask a question like that, but is there any way you can make a video on how to rap? of how to make the vocals pleasant to the ears, without sounding like a bunch of "AAAA EEE UUU" without rhythm or melody, I really limit myself to that, because I can't create a melody and sorry for the bad English, I'm using Google translate
Within SliceX, select the note by clicking and dragging over it (indicated by a red highlight), then press Alt+T. There should be a window that asks for the new length of the selection, while also showing the actual length of the selection. Keep in mind that it asks for the length in milliseconds, so if you want it to be 4 seconds, input it as 4000, not 4. It works in most cases, but sometimes the stretched note may sound robotic in a way. So keep that in mind as well.
even after i do the volume envelope thing my notes still overlap really badly (and i dont want my vol-env to just be a square either, i want a specific shape for the vol-env)

I wish I'd come across this video sooner, especially with the vibrato problem fix. Thx👌🏾
Ohh thx!!! Now my song starts being more cooler then bad
You're the best, HPK! Thank you so much, it surely helps a lot!
I gotta need to fix some chromatics for this...
Oh my god that region detection thing is so useful
Don’t need to even watch a second of the video to know it’ll be good

yo is there a way for moving the entire markers without doin it manually? i really dont know how to explain it
Neat.
Hey is it ok if I use the image from the shrinking violet early demo video for a remake I did of the vocals for shrinking violet final build?
I don't mind!
@@HighPoweredKeyz do you want me to credit you
@@HighPoweredKeyz well here it is if you wanna watch also look for the refrences
yo do you know how to move multiple markers/region at once like at 1:06 because mine doesn’t do that
@@Sacrifise17 At the bottom of Slicex, there's a double-sided arrow icon you can enable
@ oh my gosh 😭 thank you i tried everything and that’s the only thing i didn’t try
Yo uh for some reason when I try to make the square thingy for the vibrato scale the edges just become circular..

Thanks for the tutorial. Now, can you teach me how to stretch your vocals perfectly so that you sing for at least 4 seconds? I really need it.
You can either record longer samples, or stretch them out using audio softwares such as Audacity, or Melodyne

What is the boyfriend chromatic scale
even after i do the volume envelope thing my notes still overlap really badly

yep, thats happening with me
when i change the volume envelope, my vocals still overlap. do you know anything else that might be causing this issue?
OKAY so i found it out, you're gonna need to right click when you're in the env tab, and drag that red thingy DOWN
Hello i love your flavor rave fnf mod !When continuation?
We're still workin' on it!
@@HighPoweredKeyz oh ok ,its the best mod ,i hope in autumn we will see it
ngl the example with the incorrect key BF wasn't a great one, as it still sounded pretty good without an inst
Maybe I should've added a chord progression below it to further push that idea, but I wasn't thinking about that at the time.
BRO IS AT C1 2:43
That says "G1"
LMAO@@HighPoweredKeyz
lol fnf "song makers" teaching slicex is funny
plz explain how its funny, i dont get it
What's wrong with trying to teach people some things they may not have known?
