Galicia can be fun as long as there aren't 64 snipers. It gets crazy fun if a majority plays the ground game b ut hey, that's pretty rare.
When you realize Galicia is also the name of a province of Spain.
Galicia is one of my favorite maps.

The problem with tripwire bombs are the grenade spam, people nowadays just throw grenades everywhere. The damn thing can't even survive for long before getting blasted.
Xplosio Lee a lot of the time its the players fault for running into them if u know someone is around a corner or something like that then u run in to try kill him coz ur rushing in like a noob then its your fault for dying to a grenade yesterday I was playing medic I had the grenade launcher there was a support assault and Scout right next to me on one of the new maps the flag was under enemy control we were all that's left so the enemy came upstairs around the corner so we shot and throw our grenades that was there fault they could of taken us out in many different ways but they all run in like noobs

even if someone runs into your tripwire and takes the full damage, they can still survive so maybe try get the kills on hardcore. im sure one would kill an enemy. only thing about hardcore is the friendly fire being on lol .good luck to you bro.
It's a fucking nightmare. Even in hardcore it's not a 1 hit kill, i already have 3 service stars in my mosin nagant, yet can't unlock the fucking marksman variant. The only way i can do it is to find distracted players, place the mine next to them and shoot them once with the pistol. Still have 7 to go....

Jacob Vasiloff Hardest dlc assignment in battlefield history. People usually aren't dumb enough to step on the tripwire plus it doesn't even do full damage. I wish it was the inc version.
Jacob Vasiloff so true so far I have exactly one kill out of 15. destroying a tank with a k bullet isnt exactly easy either with assaults just stealing the destruction from you every time

I just sneak up on people, place a tripwire bomb on them then shoot them with the mars automatic. Usually they run over it. Playing domination helps as well.
i love the parabellum its recoil is high but its still really controllable and the time to kill is just amazing

I think Galicia is great. The flat open terrain gives you an awesome feeling when you and your team are pushing an objective and you can see the other team getting mowed down and your team taking ground.

Been trying for it for at least 4 hours and currently at 2/15 kills...
CapNxCrunch25 go tdm use the Mars automatic. Put the tripwire in high traffic area and stand in front of it. Shoot at enemies and then run away, baiting them into your tripwire. It's easy this way
CapNxCrunch25 I pay rush and put it by the bomb it works usually but it's just based on if the other team is dumb I need 3 more kills

I love defending on the Galicia map in Operations. When I get a good team that doesn't let the enemies walk through us like we don't exist it's just so satisfying. More satisfying than defending on any other map for me.
P.S. I'm in love with the Model 1900 Slug and the MG 14/17 Low Weight.
P.P.S. The new soundtrack is absolutely beautiful.

for the tripmine kills go on a hardcore server because there they do 100 damage
I was playing hardcore, and it still only did 72 damage. May have just been custom rules but I heard only bullets do more damage.
Marcus Titus problem with that is then your teammates walk into it.... lol
The mortars are really effective if you spam them at groups of enemies but you have to to cancel the camera track of the mortar to see your close surroundings

I think the flat open map is to get people to change their play style and make it more realistic, for example in ww I you couldn't choose where you fought and you had to adapt.
Yep agreed , having to change play style on the more open maps....more of an assault or support player so a bit of a learning curve
Galicia is actually one of my favourite maps. I’ve only ever played BF4 and 1 but even between the two, Galicia is one of my favs. I always play recon, was never that great in 4 but in 1 I eventually got the aggressive recon down to a tee and Galicia is just a joy to play in that style.
A lot of these challenges can be done in the new game mode "supply drop". They seem to be more geard towards that.

Legit, how do people find the LMG against planes challenge so hard?! All you do is use an AA Gun until the plane is disabled, then hop off and use the LMG on it.
It's finding open AA guns on the maps. Everyone and their dog is trying to complete the challenge and no one is flying planes on the maps because they get shot at so much.
If the requirements are too hard, go play on the cte because it is already there😂😂

Shooting morter strikes at the trenches in Galicia is the easiest way of doing it

I arrived to the Battlefield franchise late so I came in playing BF3 but getting a shit ton of kills with an LMG with a bipod attached to it while beinf proned made me fall in love with the game haha

I LOVE this map, so much open space and so much cover
I was quite fortunate, took me 20 minutes. Conquest on Monte Grappe. Aim for bombers being shot down by AA with Mg15 suppressive. Slow moving targets, easy to down. Good luck!

Had same problem if you go do iron wall operation you can get them really easily on the mountain they don't expect it. I also used the parabellum surppressive and it melts also easier to get so that helps.
Sethos I mean yeah some of them are total bullshit like the tripwire bomb shit, it gets really frustrating. But in generally i like the challenges, gives you something to do.

The airburst kills were the hardest part in my opinion. It took like 6 games to get them all whilst the plane kills i somehow managed to get in the same game if i remember correctly.

I quite like Galicia actually! It feels like a real battlefield. The openness makes it feel so gritty and vast, probably how the war in Russia would really be. I have really enjoyed sampling this DLC so far, and once those weapon changes make it into the base game, I am really looking forward to spending a lot of time playing BF1 again!

I really like the weapons in this DLC, just the assignments to unlock them are absolutely crazy. *15* Tripwire kills? *2* Plane destruction with an LMG? I just want my cool looking weapons, that you guys have put so much time into making, yet you make it so hard for us to use them for some reason.

A good way to get the tripwire kills is if you find a random sniper by himself on the outskirts of any map sniping far away from the objectives. Put the tripwire explosive behind him or to the side, shoot him once and he'll turn around and run into it. You should get the kill because he'll be low health from the gunshot. I've seen it done with the explosive so I don't know how effective the other mines will be though.
If want a tip on how to kill the two planes is to use the MG15 suppressive or perino lmg. I got four planes kills on Galicia with the perino low weight. The slow cool down makes it amazing at taking down planes.

A tip for the planes assignment:
Do it on a map with AA cannons.
I did it in operations mode on Ballroom blitz (as Defender).
Basically: either you or a teammate fire at planes with AA until enough damage is done, then switch to your LMG to finish the job.

Got the low weight today. Surpressive unlocked yesterday. Thing is a beast
when you were talking about the tanks being hard to use In this map, me and a hole other squad were in one tank and we survived the whole match and I was at the to of the leaderboards and so was the driver

Supply drop has been how I've gained most of the explosive kills for assignments. And yes it has been lagging on console a lot.
Completed the Frag cross bow challenge in the red tide operation , pretty easy especially with incendiary grenades
The one that takes forever is the Mosin Nagant Marksman with the tripwires

I love it how u unload the mag it takes like 10 seconds and when u put a mag in like 1 sec
I think a good team work assignment for like the next dlc would be like "Get 500 resupplies". That would be a really good teamwork based assignment

My favorite support weapon, if you can flank the team with bbq it and know how to keep it's overheating under wraps then you can kill at least 30 people in one clip
also depending if you're proning and how good you aim
In one of the blown up tanks, there’s a Neebs Gaming Easter-egg. I forget which one though, but it’s an audio thing so it would be hard to hear it unless the server is nearly empty.
the service assignments are quite hard as well, I mean I completed the getting started ones with ease but the specializations can be tricky to complete

This DLC is amazing, loving the maps and new weapons, I'm just hoping there was more frontlines/rush/operations
you can get the kills with the tripwire a bit easier if you got a friend who puts mines down next to it that way it does a one-hit kill
I found the two planes to be easier that anticipated. The first one I just lucked into. I saw a plane in a dogfight and just started firing. The second I unloaded on the new bomber with AA and as soon as I got the disabled notification, I hit it with the LMG. The bombers tend to be easier because they're slower and can't get away as fast.
I think this dlc is overall pretty good. It seemed to revive the games variety a bit with the new weapons. However like you said operations are somewhat of a cluster fuck right now and the challenges specifically the plane one and the mosin marksman are quite a pain, but overall a good dlc and great video.
Couldn't agree more about the tanks - If they aren't moving they are totally silent. even when firing I feel they make less noise then nearby footsteps.
honestly, i did the assignment for it in only one round (the 2 planes part) basically i unlocked the suppressive variant first, and then i went on monte grappa operations and downed 2 planes with it in a matter of minutes, the thing is insane
