Germany addresses the International Court of Justice following a request from Nicaragua, for the court to order emergency measures requiring Berlin to stop military aid to Israel and reverse its decision to stop funding UN's Palestinian refugee agency UNRWA.
Nicaragua brought charges against Germany at the International Court of Justice (ICJ) on Monday (April 8, 2024), accusing the country of “facilitating the commission of genocide” against Palestinians through its military and political support for Israel.
Nicaragua says Germany's arms sales to Israel, which totalled $326.5m last year - a tenfold increase on 2022 - make it complicit in Israel's alleged war crimes.

Not the Palestinians who's lands are being stolen and are being ethnically cleansed for the crime of living on lands they've lived on for thousands of years and happened to change religions over the course of millennia? That's what Israel did and you should provide context. 750,000 Palestinians were expelled, their lands were stolen and their lives destroyed. How can you justify this atrocity? Israel should have been founded in German soil not Arab soil. Israel's very foundation was a crime against humanity because you don't commit another wrong to justify one done by Europeans.
