Productive trips. You were always guaranteed to find something in that creek. I remember some of the big floods. Usually washed new stuff out of the banks. Also remember the times when it was only small pools. We'd pan like you did, so we didn't foul the pools and mess it up for the wildlife that depends on them.
Great information you have. I’m waiting for that area to have water again, probably going to be a while since it’s so dry a lot of rain will just soak in
Thanks for the Video Toby very interesting in regards to the gems etc …… Morrisons ? I reckon I’ve seen zircon or citron ? . What gems should I be looking for ? .
@ManfiCat Thanks mate, yes I nearly fell over when it popped out! Years of digging gems in Vic I really appreciate just how hard it is to find a cutter and I got one here in the least likely creek to find one 😁
@@bulwynkl hey mate, yes indeed, I grew up digging Gembrook sapphires. Not sure if these ones have weathered out of old white hills gravel or an unknown intrusion is in the area somewhere. I'd be thinking long gone volcanic cover then recycled from older gravels.
Very interesting.
Thanks for sharing this.
Have a great weekend.
Cheers 👍🍻⛏️
Not bad, very nice gemstones also

Thanks for another interesting video Toby
@@philbophilbo4945 thanks for watching mate, I'll get back in there whenever it rains again.
Brown Tree Frog Toby 😁
You're definitely one of the more interesting channels on TH-cam, Toby. Looks like a decent weekend
@@frenchys_prospecting thanks mate, glad you liked it. Pretty stoked with that little stone
@billingmetals yeah the stone is an amazing find.
@@frenchys_prospecting It would actually cut a decent little stone too, I probably won't get it cut though.

Very good gold, and a sapphire I would even consider cuttable! Doesn't get much better than that in this state!

Reminds me of Gembrook - Saphhires and zircons derived from Basalts...Older volcanics, younger volcanics apparently...

Where is this? I hear state forest but couldn’t understand the word before it! Most likely my terrible hearing
