Had to go to an Andrea Bocelli concert where he kept bringing his family up to sing. Said out loud ‘I wish I was at a Pearl Jam concert’ 😂 and I got hate stares followed by people telling me they don’t know why Eddie Vedder is great. In my opinion, his vocals on ‘Garden’ was better than anything Bocelli sang, don’t mean to be weird but just saying, Eddie is a vocal and creative God! 🎉

Been asking this for quite sometime. I don't know what the fuck it is, lol. Better fit with Soundgarden for sure. Been to 12 shows, all Matt--can't complain, I guess.

Its only the other drummers' stuff he doesn't quite play right. Everything he was involved with writing (Binaural-today) he nails. I think its just that his style doesn't work with the more basic, groove style rhythms of pre-Binaural PJ. He's a technical monster though---just watch him keep perfect time while singing songs like "You Are" or "Mind Your Manners" live.

I listened to another song from this show after this one. i think the drummer had an off night at time. rare for a hall of fame drummer. c'est la vie

Or maybe I think the band told him or Eddie to be specific said don't play anything like Dave A. And for the other songs he wasn't involved with the creative writing process they told him play what you see fit for the part because if you listen to badmotorfinger or Temple of the dog he absolutely can play that Dave A. Funk style rock with high-hat rolls and similar Tom Tom type rolls.. I think he's absolutely good enough to pretty much copy most of stuff note for note if he wanted to he was on the geddy Lee album my favorite headache and played killer parts ..the fact that geddy chose Matt speaks for itself because his drummer is Neal Peart.. but that said I still don't care for all the parts he plays especially on ten through vitology albums even the jack irons stuff on no code and yield it's like he's simplified the beats and taken out the tribal magic of the rhythmic feeling that makes it so awesome I even liked the way Jack played the first three albums of material better Jack's drums were tuned so low and deep he sounded off himself but actually played the parts more accurate with the original groove and timing at least!

@@blppt yeah he's an absolute beast of a player his timing is perfect and the stuff he wrote with the band he plays perfectly if not better live .. if you listen live on two legs when he joined in 97-98 even in the early 2000's he played the earliest material a lot better back then I couldn't believe how good he was when he first joined the band .. but over the years he's seems to have sped up all the old songs so fast and with more of a simple beat I can't explain it it almost doesn't make sense 😂
