This is where I first fell in love and became a fan to Patrick Wilson. It's just not fair. He's so talented. His singing is very innate because his mother was a music teacher. I love him being Raoul. ❤❤❤

I was so confused at the beginning of this "miscast" because I fully believed Raoul sang the first verse and he is perfectly cast as Raoul. It took me a minute to realize he only sang Christine's part and entirely skipped Raoul's part. Beautiful.
He was Raoul in the movie version. He is a good singer. He was doing Brigadoon in 2017 with Kelli O'Hara.
I thought it was a different song until I heard the lyrics but he did a stellar job. Bravo.

You didnt see him as Raoul (Christine Diae's boyfriend) in the movie version of Phantom of the Opera? This song he performed is one that Christine sings in the stage and movie. It was a bit odd hearing him ( or a male )sing it, but even more so with the very odd the banjo accompaniment. But he has a very good singing voice.
