Those fans that were inappropriate & rude to the Dallas players and the announcers are not a true reflection of all Minnesota fans. I was at the game and I had words with some fans who were being rude and laughing when Sabally was down. We are not like that as sports fans here in Minnesota.
Now, the kiss to the crowd by Sabally. I have zero issue with that. Just keep that same energy when one of our players do that in Dallas.

It looks like everyone thought she only had two free throws, even the shooter who blew the kiss after the 2nd and walked off AND the announcer, who said "she hit both free throws and then blew a kiss to the crowd." Then the ref realizes it was a 3 point shot and calls everyone back to the line for one more.
And Lynx fans, you've just proven what other team's fans have known for quite a while...
There's not a single player on the Lynx team that equals or is better than Satou Sabally PERIOD. Lynx fans are just hard losers, no more Maya Moore's or Sylvia Fowles. And that "smirk" on Carleton's face...evil.

How Many times a game do we have to go to the monitor for this close out rule??? It slows the game down to a snails pace. The main problem is that most women jump forward on their shots because "most" were smaller and they had to get that momentum to get the ball up to the rim on an outside shot, when they were developing their game as youths. This particular situation was a bad close out, but I've seen it called unnecessarily 10x as much.

It’s a BS call. Carleton went up to block shot, immediately pulled away but Sabally chose to land wide and rolled her foot!!! There is way too much accepted flopping thanks to LeBron, king of the flops!
If the NBA is bankrolling the WNBA to keep it afloat, it boogles the mind that it would tolerate this disgraceful low level of unprofessional play. All you see are players laying on the court in pain after violantly barrelling into one another. Refs who arbitrarily call plays one way or the other. Or just look the other way. Coaches who can't control or coach their players. And rabid fans in the stands who really don't care and only want spectacle. It's an embarrassment to sports as a whole. The NBA is reversing the integrity of the game. It does no one any good.

Shooters are allowed to jump forward and defenders are required to give them space to land. It’s not all that complicated.
The most effective three point shooters jump forward when they shoot (including BC). A defensive player needs to contest but allow that space for the shooter to land. That being said, I feel the best way to contest a three point shooter is to have a hand up at the release point area of where the shooter is shooting from.
Yes Satou lunged forward to get the ball but Carelton went down first, sees Satou in the corner of her eye and BOOM...out comes the leg.

Flagrant fouls need intent I thought? It is a foul but as someone who has watch and played Bball for 35 plus yrs, that is nothing more than a common foul, shoot free throws and move on. That is a play that happens at least once a game in the rec league I play in and we rarely get the call let alone there is a flagrant called. Kicking the fans out? It would be nice to know what was said, the WNBA needs fans, especially passionate ones......

I don't know what kinda league you're in, but on the professional level, these flagrant fouls are in place to protect the shooter. Placing your foot in her landing area is dangerous & could seriously injure the shooter. That's way more next level than a common foul. She stuck her foot out there knowing the landing rule. She needs to be more professional.
