    I just started a project that uses this style. This was perfect timing. The displacement deformer is a great tip.

    wait, I always thought the sphere goes into the displacer.. Whats the differemce if you put the sphere in the dispacer or the displacer into the sphere?

    • @LonelyMelon99
      @LonelyMelon99 7 ปีที่แล้ว

      It only works one way. You have to make the displace a child of the sphere so you can edit the composition of the sphere itself.

    I'm so thankful for these kinds of tutorial / walkthroughs because I don't think I'd ever know to use a connect node and set the phong to MANUAL. Beyond just messing around with every single setting possible how would you know this is even an option?

    i did this, but in 3dsmax kinda hard though,....My question why isnt there more tutorials for 3dsmax. I seem to have a hard time find anything for 3dsmax :(

    • @Greyscalegorilla
      @Greyscalegorilla  7 ปีที่แล้ว

      There isn't much out there for Max. I know cuz I used to use it. Have you considered learning C4D? ~ chad

      I've been putting alot of months into 3dsmax, to the point were I'm actually starting to get the hang of it. It took me like 3-6 Months to get comfortable with max (Like learning techniques, Modeling, texturing, and just knowing where most of the stuff, is), but learning another 3d Modeling software like cinema makes me nervous Due to the time it takes to learn....I'll Just have to toughen it out, and try my best with it.

    Can you please make a tutorial where you don't use your expensive drag and drop studio systems? I really want to learn how to make all these lights and backgrounds on my own... but you always skip that step with the premades :/

    • @Turtle-wr3iy
      @Turtle-wr3iy 7 ปีที่แล้ว

      That's because they need to make money, they'll never show you how to.

    • @Crimsonpattyletsplay
      @Crimsonpattyletsplay 7 ปีที่แล้ว

      You can do everything here then light it with your own soft box.... just dont be lazy? google cinema 4d soft box... boom you can make your own studio.

    • @MasterOfTheMarsh
      @MasterOfTheMarsh 7 ปีที่แล้ว

      With the issue being, I don't know how to and looking up tutorials... I figured out some of it, but it doesn't look the same

    • @Crimsonpattyletsplay
      @Crimsonpattyletsplay 7 ปีที่แล้ว

      Thats what learning is, google how to make a soft box, make a floor add a compositing tag to it so its a seamless background and the make the low polly object the same way they did it will look 100% the same as theres nothing special about the texture or anything.
