Exactly I did a full mod on my red one, I have 2 the other one is yellow and black, their the version 2 models. The things are legends where I race on da track against other rc driver's. The range is crazy also.
I had another metal racer on hand and got this battery in right this time. Absolutely fliiiiies, but, steering stripped immediately. Gonna borrow them steering motor from the burnt metal racer.
What do you do when the engine gets to hot on that car. I've got the yellow version and it runs for a few minutes or so, but then it does slow down and the sprockets still spin but the car won't run. Any solutions?

I used a red connector same battery as the og on the burnout buggy, I tried to plug it in to the buggy again yesterday was working but today I tried it I accidentally had the RC on. I have a problem. The connectors started smoking. Then I reattempted to plug it in again and the rc knows the battery is there because it's making a sound like as if when it dies it makes the beep as well. But I got a probem I don't know of it's the truck or the battery that is having issues.. I hope you can tell me because google won't
@@pacmechoroni I don't know if you ask me it sounds like you plugged in the battery backwards that will fry ESC... I was using a battery that I wasn't supposed to on another RC and when I plugged it in Backwards Day ESC fried
Rule number one never throw a box away from Walmart or the receipt for at least 30 days because if you wanted to return it to Walmart they would accept it no questions asked as long as it's in the box and you have the receipt
Yes it still runs with lipo battery but I can't find link to battery because the lipo battery I am using belongs to drift shark rc drift and price went up from $50 to $125 so I can't find battery because price for the rc is to much money now
If I’m not mistaken 7.4 is a 2s battery. So just about any 2s in that size will work. I’ve got a Sinohobby Mini Q that was dismal on 1s, but with a series pigtail I use 2 1s Tiny Whoop batteries. Same concept can be applied here.

6:25 I got an rc hobby boat with a bettery of that connector I blew the battery out of the burnout buggy a month ago been looking for replacement

It will if you use any type of LiPo battery with a c value so in other words if you use a 7.4 lipo with a 25c rating it will fry

Instantly fried my metal racer. I tried a venom fly 300mah 30c 2s 7.4v 2.22 ah lipo, started smoking within 5 sec without even running it 😝

With a custom built hub...i did one.
It looks like it a handle the Lipo pretty well have you thought about modding with bigger Wheels that way you can get bigger ground clearance

No the yellow battery is a nicad battery very weak but it will do the trick in some cases. So yes you can use it and it should be fine
