Is the 1by 1 good for end games like if there are 6 people do you use it to build like a fort or only for attacking and someone starts shooting you

I use the 1 by 1 mainly to heal and to get high ground. Not great to stay in for very long because they can be knocked down or someone can build above you if you aren't ready.
